MyEnquiringMind Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Curiosity killed the cat... Anyone know anything about this, apart from the peculiar method of selling a car, or the reference to a "1975" 240Z any Z car worth $40K must be worth a look... http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/woody-point/cars-vans-utes/1975-datsun-240z-coupe/1027897390 Cheers, Jarrod. George Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Sounds like either a prank or someone that has a 260 and believes Z's are worth a lot so he's cashing in. Seriously though, for $40k you would want a fully documented ground up resto job. Not a project car. In any case, would love to see pics. Quote
George Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Probably a scam. I would assume a scammer would underprice in an attempt to lure a sucker. In this case the seller is scaring off potential buyers with such an inflated price. Has anyone emailed the seller? Quote
Veloce Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I saw that last night and was tempted to send a reply asking if they wanted to buy my project 240z for $30k... bargain!! Quote

No reply as yet... will let you know my findings if I ever do get a reply. Quote
