K240z Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 After reading the members post on this subject i thought I'd have my say and let every member of this fine club know the reason as to why i am selling my son's Datsun 240Z My Apology if I have offended anyone on this board I just thought that maybe one of you would take the car and finish what Kyle had started as i am unable financially to do so that is the reason why i posted on this board ( My Mistake ) Am not sure about Kyle leaving the car to your member called Lockie i believe he is the boyfriend of Jane Foreman i did offer him the car the day of the funeral he did said to me the he didn't want the car so i took it out of storage and transferred to my place. I did contact him a few times in January 2011 but have not heard from him since. If he thinks he is the rightful owner why hasn't he spoke out before now I'm sure we could have worked something out but he chose to keep silent. Before posting I contacted Lockie by text telling him that I was selling the car and that he had first option on it but he has decided not to return my call. I am the legal owner of the car and have the court documents to prove it. Once again i do apologize if i have offended anyone. Will not be posting on this again board because I believe it was wrong of me to do so. So i am asking the administrator of this board to please delete my son's account. Thanking you Lou Quote
C.A.R. Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I dont have time to write a detailed reply this morning Lou, but I shall evdevour to call you over the weekend. I believe the Zed needs to be finished to Kyles wishes, I would open the build up to this community to be a part of it. Locky. Quote
luvemfast Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Obviously, a touchy subject for those close to Kyle. :'( I think that creating an open project for all those interested in getting involved, would be a fitting legacy. Hopefully, it gets worked out amicably. Simon Quote
zedevan Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I'd be honoured to have a chance to somehow contribute to the completion of this car Quote
madz Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Am not sure about Kyle leaving the car to your member called Lockie i believe he is the boyfriend of Jane Foreman i did offer him the car the day of the funeral he did said to me the he didn't want the car so i took it out of storage and transferred to my place. This is incorrect. Kyle left the keys to the storage facility at Lockys house along with the video and some documents stating that he wanted Locky to take over the car (and all other belongings in storage). It was never asked at the funeral as to weather Locky wanted the car or not. When we and some other Auszedcar members went to pick up the car and everything Kyle had left to us we discovered that sometime after the funeral you cut the lock on the storage facility and changed the lock, as told to us by the real estate managing the facility. When we contacted you about this, you stated that you did this incase the belongings got into the wrong hands, or something along those lines. We wondered why you just hadnt asked for the keys instead of cutting the lock. We did not contact you further, vice verser, we were waiting for you to tell us where the car was so we could pick it up. All we want is for Kyles dying wish of having Locky finish the car. We are not wanting money, we dont need another zed, we simply want closure and the satisfaction of knowing Kyle got his dying wish to have his car finished the way he wanted. I hope you can find in your heart the ability to pass this car on to the rightful owner as requested by Kyle and it can be finished as a living memorial to Kyle. Jane. Quote

Sirpent Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Lou I almost lost my 13 year old son last year, all the money in the world could never have compensated me for even a lock of his hair I have kept, his first toy I purchased him, or the soccer ball he kicked 2 goals with a day before he lapsed into a comma had he passed away. If you have any respect for him as a son, and his wishes, you will do the right thing and let the willing and able of this forum finish it as a legacy to his memory and let it become an inspiration to the generations of members to come of which I know my son will also one day be. xa1973 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Just got back from being away with work for the last 3 odd months and thought Id catch up on whats been going on out there in our fine community, and to be honest I cant BELIEVE what Ive read in this thread............. Shame... Quote
nizm0zed Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 im going to be the bad man for saying this, but i dont care. Lets just consider the fact that it was his son that passed away, he's probably gone through all sorts of personal hell during the greiving process. Maybe (hopefully) he's gotten to a point where he's ok with everything but then all of a sudden he has a big fat car right in front of him, to remind him of the painful details every time he looks at it. Im not going to make out like i know him, i didn't know kyle either, but as a father, i can honestly say it would be very hard to have something right in front of you to remind you of whats lost. I agree it could have been done a little more tactfully, but at the end of the day, Lou was closer to Kyle than anyone here was, EVER. As a group, we should take a step back, try and put yourself in his shoes, think of how you would feel if you lost one of your children (from both sides of the coin) and then act with a level and rational head. I would like to see this car taken over by someone (or a group) that will build it the way Kyle wanted, and keep it in that condition to honor his memory. I would be proud if someone did that with my car if something happened to me. Quote
chev z Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Why not give the car to Rev and let him and others finish Kyles project. Then perhaps the REV could auction/sell it of and the proceeds go to his charity....just a thought of course kyles family would/should be involved in any decisions...just a thought Quote
Sirpent Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Al, There are a lot of circumstances behind this car that are far from being straight forward, some of which have been discussed with much emotion. Fact is that you are 100% correct when you say that there needs to be a level headed approach, unfortunately I doubt Kyle (God may he rest in peace) sees this current situation as being that way from his place in this universe. I'd like to make a suggestion to Lou, and I'm pretty sure that Lockie will see it as a fair one. Selling the car as is may not ever fulfil Kyle's intentions for it, and I know that many will feel the passion he had for it and want to see it finished as per his wishes, by the same token there are many members here who would probably love to own the finished car and cherish it for what it is and who it stood for. So if Lou was to be rational, why not let it be finished fittingly, then sell it to a worthy enthusiast, the proceeds of the sale could be donated to an organisation such as "Beyond Blue" in Kyle's name this would mean that the dream comes to finality and his legacy lives and serves in a new way for the many that have to deal with the effects of depression. Just a thought, but maybe a start for some common ground and a fitting end to this dilemma. I will be the first to put up my hand and offer what ever help I can to accomplish it. Cheers John Quote

What we would like to happen with the car and by who really doesn't matter jack except for those who are in the actual and painful position of being to make the best decision for what is best for them not us. madz Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I knew kyle better than even his father did and all I want is for kyle to get his dying wish! The pain has never ended for me and all you fukcers can go fukc yourself, you dont have a fukcing clue what I have gone through with kyles death and having to deal with his father who isnt respecting what kyle wanted after his death. If you guys knew all the details like I do you wouldnt be saying all this sh!t. Im bloody mad right now, knowing that kyle didnt want anything going to his father. I know that for a fact! He needs his wish of getting the car completed, not having his car sold on by his father! Grrr... If only you guys knew what I have gone through! The car has been stolen from the person Kyle wanted it to go to. If he wanted it to go to his father, as well as his belongings, he would have said so in his video to us! I know the truth! If you knew the things that Kyle told me, you would bloody well understand. Justice has not be done with regards to what Kyle wanted, and im pissed off and forever will be without closure! :'( Quote
zed74 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I think that justifies an end to this thread :'( Life is short & I hope for everyone's sake a resolution can be found :-\ However - one thing is for certain - it (a resolution) won't occur by discussing on an "open forum". I don't know any details & I think what details exist can only be properly dealt with by those few people with first hand knowledge. Sorry - if I offend anyone Quote
luvemfast Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I'm sorry for all of those close to the issue here. But I agree with the previous post, I think this should be locked and keeped off the public forum until an agreement can be reached by all those involved. It's always the same. There are two sides to any story. Sometimes it's better to keep it behind closed doors and not air dirty laundry. Once again, I'm sorry. Quote
nizm0zed Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Im sorry if i have offended you with that jane, that was not my intention. Im not going to say anymore on this matter other than this should probably be taken away from the public space while Locky, Jane and Lou work out how to move forwards. (edited, i have probably said more than i should have.) Quote
