zzzzed Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I sold my p90 head to a guy on ebay who fit it to his patrol with dished pistons. He wondered why he has rather low compression. he sais he has 25 out of 125 I had it advertised as a turbo head with an explanation that they have bigger chambers than the n42 head. I just revived a nasty sms saying i wasted his time and money. Did i do wrong by him? or is he just a bad buyer? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 30, 2010 Moderators Posted October 30, 2010 He probably had NFI what you were selling and may have been told the P90 heads are the "heads to have!!" without knowing what they were made for. There are bad buyers out there; one left me negative feedback because he didn't read the ad correctly. I was selling 3 lights separately and the ad stated the auction was for ONE only and buyer had choice to buy the other two if needed. he showed up and asked to buy all 3 for the price of one. Took it up with ebay to get the negative removed but that was pointless even when I proved he was in the wrong. I've learned next time you place an ad, be very specific about the details and explain it to them as if they were a 4 year old. Even then you expect negative feedback. Quote
zzzzed Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 I copy and pasted this directly from my ebay add. 1 p90 head from an l28e nissan engine this head is what they used on the l28et turbo motor It is best suited to turbo application because of the bigger comubstion chambers. They can have good results in N/A application when used with domed pistons. they are the best flowing of the nissan L series heads. this one seams in good condition but could do with a clean up Quote
Roberto Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 You did nothing wrong Mick. He needs to do some research before he acts rather than lashing out after-the-fact. Tell him that he can always turbo it now with that compression and sell him the L20 turbo you have for sale !! Quote
zzzzed Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 haha yeh im sure he would be in that Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I sold my p90 head to a guy on ebay who fit it to his patrol with dished pistons. He wondered why he has rather low compression. he sais he has 25 out of 125 P90 head AND dished pistons on an NA motor? Quote
Roberto Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 He will have a compression ratio of 7.38 to 1. It will a bit gutless, but still run ok. 25 compression seems way too low even for his setup....... Take the negative feedback and leave it all behind. Nothing much you can do now. Quote
zzzzed Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 yeh i think he has done something wrong. he said he rebuilt the bottom end. Maybe he put the compression wrings in wrong or something. Its been fitted to a patrol Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 used part, probly has a bad seal from valve to seat??? but again, no warranty is implied or offered..... Quote
lightmaster240z Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I call this EBay karma . or buyer beware, look before you buy it not your problem mate. Quote
zzzzed Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 used part, probly has a bad seal from valve to seat??? but again, no warranty is implied or offered..... i did state in the ad that it would need a clean up, by this i mean reseat valves and de carbon . I should not presume that all people are bright enough to chech that the valves are seating before fitting a second hand head. its as simple as pouring a bit of kerro down the ports. I had planed on having the whole head rebuilt before i used it Quote
madz Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Mick, did you take up a dispute with ebay? Contact ebay and tell them you want the feedback removed etc as you believe you recieved it wrongly. I did the same and they removed the feedback... Otherwise, dont let it get to you if you know you did nothing wrong, which you obviously didnt. Jane Quote
Scoota G Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 You could get him to send it back and do a refund, sounds like he's a total nuffy. P90's are worth decent money any day of the week. May i ask what you got for it? I sold my N42 for $250 and gave the guy a spare E88 for free. Quote
