Can someone confirm that the 240 rear hatch is a different size to a 260 hatch?

I know the doors are longer on a 260Z and I've been told that the hatch is a different size too, but I thought I would confirm this with more experienced Z handlers.

Any help most appreciated.

J.B as far as I know it depends on the year of the Zed.  Early 74 260z Hatch will fit a 240...I know that much!

Thanks Rev,

I'm trying to work out if a '73 240Z hatch will fit my '74 260Z. Thoughts?

Thanks Lurch, most appreciated.

Kinda figured the +2 hatch just MAY not fit!  ::)

Hey, thought i might hijack this hatch thread as iv a similar question  :)

Below the glass of my 240z hatch is fair rusted and dented, could this section of hatch from a 2+2 be transplanted over?

You can make almost anything fit depending on your skills.  At a guess though I would say yes, it would be something that I would try personally.

A  tape measure is always a handy thing..... ;)

Indeed it is, but I would also need to have a 2+2 hatch handy  ;)

I was hoping to find out if it would suit before buying one. This suggestion came from another zed owner, I just wanted some confirmation from you guys before I went ahead with the search for a wrecking 2+2. I thought somebody on here may have considered if not tried this repair before, could save alot of folding and time.
