Sirpent Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Have to share this one with you all................ I'm trolling the web, and come across this site in Texas USA, its a grave yard for cars, so I click on the Datsun search and these thumbs pop up of a Zed with a G-Nose front, price for the entire car............. $2995.00 Here I am thinking, right ring the place, ask if its an original G-Nose "Say what Boyr? what in darnation is a G-Nose?' "No matter I'll take it" do you take credit cards?.............LOL Clicked on the pics and eyes nearly popped out of my skull until I started to look a bit closer............. http://www.ctcautoranch.com/Cars/Car%20Sub-Pages/Cars%20Datsun.html Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Buy one of the good 5 piece ones form Japan, not that one piece crap one. Quote
Sirpent Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 Camo, I wouldnt buy it in a fit, what I meant by the post was that at first glance of the thumbs before I took a good look I thought I'd found a real G-Nose, now that would be worth paying $2000+ for. LOL Quote
xa1973 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 LOL Lets just blend this over the bumper... Looks like a sheet of 3 ply covered with poly spak filler Quote
NZeder Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I have a link somewhere to a Japanese site that makes the best G-Nose parts. This is what original HS30-H aka Fairlady 240ZG owners purchase when the factory parts are damaged. This is a close to the originals you can get today. The product is the best on the market. But you do pay for this quality. I will look for the link now and post as soon as I find it (I have too many links these days) Quote
NZeder Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 here is the link http://home.att.ne.jp/sky/FairladyZ/ZG/Nosemain_new.htm he also makes the urethane front bumpers There are few different types available check them out - these are the best you can get. And as my originals have some cracks in them maybe one day I will order replacements from him - in a few years time when I have the $$ for them Quote

That's 2,500 euro but I shouldn't be thinking in Euro I should think of the AUD$ then I remember why I haven't bought mine yet lol. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted May 14, 2009 Administrators Posted May 14, 2009 Proper Gnose looks great though. Check out this video if you haven't seen it. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Nissan-Fairlady-240ZG_180824.htm Quote
620Z Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I see a couple of 2 piece G-noses pop up every now and then. Whilst a lot of custom work went into mine and mods to make it fit I still reckon it would be cheaper doing that than buying "an original". Quote
