Hello!

Does anyone have a set of 4 or more 1969-70 240Z hubcaps (with 'D' centre) that would be willing to sell? Here's a picture of what I'm after:  70HubCap.JPG

By the way there is 2 versions of these D caps, the earlier style have less tabs on the rear and the valve hole aligns with 1 of the spokes. The later version have more tabs and the valve hole is offset to the spokes. (That's the 1 pictured above and in the eBay auction).

Only Dirk Dickler (Sticklers) like me would notice.

Gav are the earlier ones that have the offset hole only for s30 or fairladys, while the centre valve ones were both fairladys and 240s. That's what I was led to believe?

As far as I'm aware the D caps were never fitted to Roadsters, they had a smaller diameter hubcap that attached to the steel wheels via tabs on the inner rim.

Some comparison photos can be found here:

You can see less fingers / tabs on the rear of 1 cap here and the valve hole alignment.

Not roadsters, I was told that the early jdm cars had the hubcap with the offset but all the exported models sported the centred valve? Could be a wives tale of course?

Domestic vehicles in Japan had a different hubcap design (no D, because they were not Datsun's!). Early exported S30Z's (early 240z's in North America had the centered valve's) later ones had the offset valves. I don't know production date / month cut off dates.
