I'm interested but... I'm doing a tafe course and think I could make my own if it runs again this semester.. If not I'll be interested.

Hi Gav, are you doing a metal shaping course or a general sheet metal course?I was thinking of running some beginner metal shaping course/sheet metal courses.

The course is actually called "introduction to vehicle restoration".

The problem is Tafe NSW is making cuts and it looks like it might not run next semester. I'm going to  call and find out, there was talk of Teachers running their own classes from home as you suggest. It's a shame really, the whole thing is a joke (Tafe NSW that is), cuts cuts and more cuts.

I'll let you know what happens, as I'm sure some people here would be interested in such a course.

Hi Wayne,

Have you had a go at making beaver panels yet?

I am looking to import some, but they are in "Canadia" and the transaction will be US dollars + shipping by air so it gets a little expensive.

I started a thread looking for interest here:

Will likely be putting a bulk order in shortly so just thought I'd check before doing so if a local option existed?

How are those beaver panels coming along? I removed my rear bumper tonight and have been unpicking the spot welds on my car, the beaver panel is properly shagged. So will be wanting 1 soon.

Happy to send mine in as a template?

PS: Apparently the tafe courses are running again this semester, but I still haven't heard confirmation from them yet. Spoke to them a week or 2 ago. If they don't run I'd be interested in such a course.

Wayne, where abouts would you be doing the course?

I know I can't attend the Tafe course because of the location, so you may have a few other takers depending on when and where.

Cheers,

John

@Wayne did you end up making any lower beaver panels? I would definitely be in for a locally produced piece.

Hi Wayne,

Much like Gav I would be interested. The ability of getting one locally is great and there is definitely a spot in the market for this panel as I haven't been able to find one locally other than having to hack up another shell *shudders*. Im always happy to support a well made local product.

Cheers

Adam
