  1. Bumping for a similar check on experiences--though with a bone stock L24/e88 I have the Hitachi round-top SUs, I am debating a set of 3x2 Mikuni 40mms (can't find 44s, found 40s), but for the price, I was also looking at ITB FI from DSI, EFI and Jenvey (the OER look rough and have had casting issues it seems from various things online since 2018) DSI is the most expensive but supposedly the most "tuned"/setup for L-series engines out of the box, I like the EFI one, and Jenvey are the core of the DSI so not sure why I would go with them over the DSI package. Have a MegaSquirt 2 Extra that I pulled off my SW20 when I went Haltech that I was planning to use if I went FI over the 40mm (carb) Mikunis or 3x2 45mm Weber (carbs) Thoughts?
  2. Bumping a dead thread and adding to the string theory, but I've a bone stock 72 240Z, e88, Hitachi SUs and it's like hitting a wall at 4500rpm. 5hrs of diag into it we're chasing rabbits, and I'm eyeing a set of 40MM (genuine) Mikuni 3x2s that I found online but I know most people prefer the 44s (hence why they're 1.5x the cost of the 40s) and most Weber/clones are 45mm. But, all things being equal, for an L24 with stock cam, headers, exhaust, at 5280+ft elevation (Denver, CO) would the 40s be enough for spirited canyon runs and the occasional track days? Or should I pass on the Mikuni 40s and get 45 Redline Webers instead so I'd have more "room" should I go big cam later?
