  1. Just reread the ad its VIN#339!
  2. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1970-datsun-240z-manual/SSE-AD-18628039/ Not sure of the number details of this one but might be worth an ask as it might not be in the register. I personally know the restorer of this one, he is one hell of a guy!
  3. Yes thats it. Apologies for the earlier brief post I should have posted the link.
  4. VIN#117 is for sale on facebook marketplace WA. I know it is listed here but the ad might provide an opportunity to gain photos/numbers of the car and add to the database.
  5. VIN HS3000566 I cant see this in Gavins initial list where the VIN is listed numerically. Apologies if it is already in the subsquent numerous replies. https://burnsandcoauctions.com.au/portfolio/1970-datsun-240z-build-no-566/
  6. https://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/NISSAN/SUNNY/700102000930220712002/ Yeah, its cool!
  7. Due to the lack of high quality Z Cars around at the moment on the market for sale I thought Id start a new topic. Here are the first two submissions: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-nissan-laurel/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1977-datsun-200sx-2/ The 200sx looks like it belongs in the Jetsons! Enjoy and please contribute.
  8. Curious to ask if anyone knows what product has been used on the inner floor/transmission tunnel as the sound/vibration deadener, it is show in the photos as black sheets prior to painting. Have been looking for years for something to replicate the original without any luck and this looks pretty good. I second what Gavin says, it has been beautifully done with a great deal of attention to detail; notice the black out detail on the radiator support panel and even the seat mounting brackets; often left off when cars are restored in the belief that it looks "crappy".
  9. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1972-datsun-240z-auto/SSE-AD-17954404/ Ad says it was a prime candidate for a complete restoration. I would think it would have been a prime candidate for leaving it in original condition; albeit I havent see the "before" photos. 35k miles from new!
  10. C.A.R Wrote 5 wing bolts painted A. No. Fit the doors and front guards into position & use generic bolts to hold everything in position, then swap them out for the OEM replated fasteners during reassembly. I reply It really depends on what you are trying to achieve. I have seen many original paint cars in my time and all of the fender/wing bolts have been painted from the factory. So if you want to go strictly factory they need to be painted.
  11. By "Wing" Im assuming you mean "Fender" bolts which were painted.
  12. Not sure if this is the correct place to enter this. The October 2022 issue of Wheels Australia magazine has a story regarding the newly released Z in it. In one of the photos in the article it shows the new Z with various other Nissan models including the 240-Z. The 240-Z used for the article is KNL-127 or RHD VIN 004. It is a current photo so she is still around. Hope Gavin and others find this interesting as I do.

  14. This has been resolved. My contact in the USA has sourced an aftermarket fibre glass panel. Thanks for reading and replying. Gav, please feel free to remove this topic to save yourself some internet space, I would do it but dont know how to. Thanks again.
  15. I came across this posted on another Datsun facebook forum and thought that I would share it here: https://www.facebook.com/Nadine.Travels.West/photos/pcb.430543665494918/430542352161716
  16. Hi All. I have another request from a friend of a friend in the USA. He owns an early RHD Fairlady Z. He is looking for a replacement cowl panel and obviously is having difficulty finding it in LHD country. He is willing to accept any S30 year range panel; most important is the condition with no significant rust. Shipping to the USA is also a concern due to the largish size of the panel in question. He has asked me to try and help source one. If anyone has what I/we are looking for it would be appreciated if you could please let me know.
  17. Also digging the "home made" splash tray. Geez if you are going to go to that level find an original one and pay the money!
  18. How much better would it look with the overriders. Interesting result on this one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-205/
  19. Hi I haven't heard back from the USA yet. Please phone Greg on 0438834985. He will more than likely have multiple ones. Hope this helps you out.
  20. 1971
  21. The car in question is a USA Spec LHD being converted into a RHD. I have been offered a 260-Z pedal box but Im not sure if this will work. Anyone out there know please? Thanks for the help.
  22. Hi. Thanks for the reply. He doesnt require the early style with the bracket for the hand throttle cable. I am not 100% sure of the reason for needing it to tell you the truth; he is buying it for a friend of his over in the USA whom I dont know.
  23. Greetings. I have a friend in the USA who is in need of a RHD 240-Z pedal box. If anyone has one they would like to sell please let me know. Thanks.
  24. Hi Nick thanks for providing the photos. I have it on my car aswell which hasnt been painted on the inside; ie it is original paint. I wouldnt bother with Albrecht von Goertz.
