Is it possible to remove the engine and gearbox as a single unit or do you have to remove separately? Thanks.

Hello Zedhead. When I did mine I felt there was not enough of the clips that Zcar depot supplied so I just used small "bull dog clips" like you use for holding paper together. When they are fitted just remove the little legs that you squeeze to open them and that leaves just the body. Works well and they are cheap.

Hello Peter, I have used a company called Interparcel and found them okay. I have just done an online quote for three parcels. Parcel one was the two tyres bundled together with size of 60 X 60 X 24 (they talk cm) and weighing 20 kg and then parcel two and three was the wheel/tyre combination 60 X 60 X 24 and weighing 19kg each comes in at quoted price of $88.55(with no insurance) With $100 insurance the price goes up to $96.55. I don't know how much if you want full insurance. I am prepared to drop my price to $450 to help towards shipping. I do not know your address so I put in post code of 4000 to do the quote. Hello everyone, Just to let you know all the springs have now gone to good homes. Thanks to all.

I have three pairs of springs that came with my car. One pair of King KDFL-04. These were on my car. Have gone for standard springs. We have tested these and they are 170 lb/inch with 280mm free length. One pair of black springs. These are about 5mm bigger in overall diameter than the King springs. 170 lb/inch with 320 free length. One end on each look like it has been cut. I don't know what they are off. The standard spring locating plate that goes at the top fits this mystery pair of springs. I would like $30 for the Kings and the other two are free if someone wants them. I live near Newcastle NSW so there would be postage.

No I am not. You can buy them from Chris as I mentioned above. I don't know if you aware or not but the newer version of these wheels are made overseas and are higher quality than the ones that were made in Australia. The two I have for sale are the newer ones so if you bought two more they would match. I am not sure how much for 8" but 7" were $270 each.

Hello Groundhog, Are you sure of your part numbers. I have two 86-1917(front) and two 86-1918(rear) that came with my 1975 260Z two seater. From what I have read the bore size of early 260 stuts was 43.5mm and later ones was 47mm. My struts are 47mm. They were not installed in the struts but he gave them to me along with all other parts. Chrome is okay on all but one of each would need a rebuild from what I was told by Smooth Suspension in Melbourne. Dean at Toperformance put me onto them.

Hello Kent, I have a pair that were on some standard 260Z struts I bought. I have smoothed off all sharp edges then sandblasted and painted them. One of them has slight damage on the bottom where it looks as if the car lost a wheel at some stage. If you are interested I can give you some photos. I would want $75 for the pair plus you would be up for postage. I live in Maitland near Newcastle.

I have two 15X8 Superlite wheels fitted with 225/50/15 Nexen CP641 tyres plus two extra tyres. The rims are in perfect unmarked condition. If you look carefully at the close up of the tyres you will see they still have the tits on them. These wheels were on the front of my 260Z when I bought it. The car used to have King KDFL08 springs in the front and the tyres did not rub. I now have standard springs all round so car is sitting higher in photos. One of the photos shows clearance between wheel and strut. It looks more but is about 10mm.(your little finger roughly) I am after $500 for the lot. These wheels are still available from people like Chris Neale in Brisbane if you want two more. ( www.chrisnealewheels.com.au ) As I live in Newcastle I feel shipping would be very expensive so would have to be picked up.

Hello gilltech yes I bought a pair. They ended up more expensive than I thought but they have cleaned up and painted like brand new. And they also came with standard front springs so I am going to fit these instead of the super low King springs that were in the front. I also managed to source a set of Koni's from America which are no longer available here. I plan on trying to sell my old struts to someone who wants to make coilovers.

I bought some front struts from a young fellow in Sydney the other day and they came with standard springs(as a bonus) which we have checked and they are 115 lb/inch as the workshop manual says for "hard suspension" which what Australian cars must have come with. The workshop manual says normal front springs are 103 lb/inch. I was just trying to keep standard spring rate all round with high quality strut inserts. My car came with King KDFL-04 in the front and KDRS-09 in the rear which are 170 lb/inch and too low. I was just trying to raise it up and get some bump compliance. Please don't dismiss me as a dill as I do appreciate your input as I realize, from reading other posts you are very knowledgeable.

Hello Lurch, King springs sell standard height but not standard spring rate. The ones they sell are 170 lb/inch whereas I feel standard are 145 going from my workshop manual.

I wish to buy a pair of standard (factory) rear springs for my 1975 260z two seater.

Thanks very much to nizm0zed for advice on pricing as I had no idea. Based on his advice I would be happy with $100 for the strut brace and $200 for the calipers and rotors and $100 for the radiator including the electric fan. I am happy to post anywhere in Australia at the buyers expense. I have used a company called Interparcel and they are quite reasonable. You can do an online quote with them based on weight and size.

When I bought my car it had the following items fitted which I wish to sell as I have fitted standard parts. 1 Toyota Hilux front calipers. (According to previous owner- LN106, LN106R, LN107, LN111 and LN111R-1988-!997 to suit 20mm ventilated discs) These calipers have ribs on the outside face which he has partially ground away for wheel clearance. He used to race the car at Wakefield Park near Goulburn so they work okay. 2 The discs are RDA272 Peugeot 604 1978-1982 20mm ventilated. Machined to suit Datsun front hubs. (His description again) 3 An aluminium front strut brace. Has a couple of marks. 4 An aluminium radiator with electric fan. I do not know what brand it is but it does not look to be a high quality item going by the welds but it did not leak. I have no idea what this stuff is worth so would appreciate some advice.
