Hi. A little bit of news and an update of my prices. Unfortunately, with the way the € is performing against foreign currencies, I’ve had to readdress prices with an inevitable but modest (2.5-ish %) increase. As a good gesture, anyone with the intention to buy can do so now (against an August delivery) and pay using the previous prices ! I have some parts still in stock – the rest will be available from mid-August. Included now on the list are my new 280ZX parts and extra S30 rear silencer options. In 2018, I’m hoping to offer a choice of S30 downpipes and also an L28ET header and downpipe. Hi chaps. Knowing that this is a very old thread but never seemed to have a finish to the story, I'd like to suggest that some headers designed for LHD and RHD cars don't compromise. I offer 3x header versions, a single fit-all exhaust and a choice of mufflers. The exhaust'll fit 2x seaters and 2+2s and the whole kit is in stainless steel. So far, I've only sold a couple of JDM-style twin-pipe rear mufflers into Aus. so I'd be interested in working with anyone wanting to fit one of my entire systems. Quality-wise, I'll stick my neck out and say that they're comparable with those exported from Japan (except on price) and way above those exported from the States - Stahl were good but more expensive and no more. Obviously if you guys rely upon local exhaust shops, you might get better deals especially avoiding shipping and potentially customs duties. I merely wanted to point out another option to those mentioned above and an after-sales service including spare parts second to none : produced and sold by a genuine Z-fan !

Sean Dézart, in and around Zs for 26 years now, current President of the French Datsun club (with nearly 1300 members - not all active of course), previous Dutch Z club member for 4 years and before that Chairman and events organiser of the UK Z club. Around 4 years ago I discovered that nobody was marketing reasonably priced s-steel exhausts so I set to it. Yes, there was a make and I was in contact with Judy at Stahl but they stopped and their header was already $900 before shipping and yes, there is Kameari and Fujitsubo but, a) their exhaust range is limited I feel and it all costs the donation of a small child ! I've sold modestly into Europe since and developped and evolved the goods until now I feel confident to sell to a larger and more distant market. In the range currently are : 1 3/4" primary pipe Full-race header : US$799 1 5/8" primary pipe Race-sport header : US$661 1 5/8" primary pipe Street-sport header : US$537 Full 2.5" exhaust line with standard rear muffler : US$559 JDM twin-exit rear muffler : US$160 I'm looking at less expensive methods of shipping, currently US$380 (tracked and insured) for a header and exhaust (with standard rear muffler) and JDM rear muffler. Thanks Alan. Before I start selling them, I'll put up a caveat on that/those photos explaining to the 'civvies and divvies' that what I'm proposing is an end 'look' similar to that of the OEM Z432 and list the differences. Comapred to other systems quoted on this thread, mine will be quieter which sounds like it's for poofs BUT every year the limits are reducing as the legislation against noise poluution gets tougher and on a more sportier side, there's nothing worse than having paid and prepared for a track day and you get refused or thrown out later for exceeding thier limits. Still gonna be a wicked sound 'cos it's an inline Nissan sex (sorry, six) but needs must and anyone can weld on a drainpipe..........

Alan. Please may I use those photos (found whilst quickly and inattentively clicking) of a Nissan OEM 432 exhaust now fitted upon your replica ? I hope that you are reassured that these are NOT yet on sale and great lengths will be taken to ensure that future customers know exactly what they'll be getting because I don't con people and I want an easy life without any after-sales problems. I hope that my reputation and that of the products/cars I sell precedes me - it's VERY easy to ruin all that in this small Datsun world and especially now with the speed that word (and photos) can travel. I appreciate that your concern is not only for those customers but for me also - cheers. Alan - they were not pinched which implies theft - they were up on a public forum and I simply typed in Z432 exhaust - I honestly thought that the photos were from this car so nothing personal :https://straightspeed.wordpress.com/2012/12/28/datsun-z432/ They indicate the 'look' that I'm trying to attain but obviously don't match the real OEM part - for one thing mine will have a single, large entry pipe making it significantly different from those offered for sale on the Japnese sites.

Thanks Gareth, hi guys. What is the price of the version found on sale in Japan ? This silencer is merely an add-on to my existing system although I'd imagine it can be made to fit most. I don't want to abuse your forum - this seems to be a general interest section. I'd be happy to post up in the correct place details of the 3x 6-2 s-steel manifolds and s-steel exhaust.

Hi y'all. Curiosity question and not life changing but : why are some (1974/5) 2+2 chassis rails shorter on the left (drivers') side compared to the RHside and why also only from (about) 1976 onwards ? I have only seen this on LHD 260Z 2+2s over here and don't know if this is the same for RHD 260Zs and all 2+2 280Zs.......can anyone confirm the differences and help date the changeover please ? Any and all help would be appreciated to clear up this mystery !

I'm kinda 'off' the UK forum - I guess my direct approach and rather outspoken attitude (a spade is a spade with me and if the truth hurts, live with it - I do ) is too hard on the ranther over-sensitive pomms : never mind, the Z was/is a world car and as time allows, I'd be a priviledge to participate in discussions here. Hello everyone. I thought it was high time having perused your forum and hijacked some great photos that I should at least present myself and my cars. A little history : Bought my first 240Z back in 1989 after having run a Celica for two years and now on my second Z. I've been importing them into France for +10 years and locally make/sell a few specific parts, mostly to avoid the horrendous shipping and customs charges applied to imports here. I was very active in the UK Z club from 1989 - 1993 when I left for Holland. I joined the club there and participated until I left for France in 1997. Here I looked around and found a Japcar club but later co-founded what has become Club Datsun-France : http://www.datsun-france.com/ with which we support the Datsun and especially Z scene in France and its' neighbouring countries. Currently have about 20x Zs in various stages of preparation/restoration and aid in the innovation and perfection of these cars as they just don't age despite being 45 years old, well, younger than me anyway :-) ! When I've figured out how (meaning more time to read the right help-post here), I'll post up some photos. In the meantime, thanks for welcoming me and a Happy New Year to you all so Barbys out for you and log fires for me !
