I have fitted a 280ZX inlet EFI manifold , and then used a Haltech 1000 with TPS, manifold vacuum, air temp and water temp. Also added a idle bypass air valve with stepping motor. All onto a L28 with a N42 head, so port injection ( 6 by 188cc injectors) Also used a Toyota ignitor with a inductor pickup in the distributer. Its fitted to a 1978 260Z 2+2
Took a bit of time to set up the map in the Haltech as they didn,t have a basemap to suit . Seems to run fine , fitted OK and all bits fitted on standard inlet manifold.
As with most aftermarket ECU,s it takes a lot of time to fine tune . A bit of dyno time was required to setup.
