  1. Thanks Peter- stance on your Z looks perfect
  2. Hi guys, thinking about lowering ride height of my 260 2+2 and was wondering if you can recommend anyone within my area(wantirna). A friend recently had his commodore lowered by pedders and was very happy with their work (though that was in Dandenong and Ferntree Gully would be much closer to me) Not looking for radical stance but the factory ride height on these cars just looks so wrong. Any thoughts / advice would be greatly appreciated
  3. Thanks for that Andrew
  4. and thankyou gilltech - let the hunt begin !
  5. Once again Lynton-many thanks for your help
  6. Thanks Lynton-appreciate your help. So when a 2+2 was purchased new buyer would receive 2 seater owners manual(with no reference to 4 seat model)?
  7. Hi all- looking for a 75 260z 2+2 owners manual to add that finishing touch to my interior ! Even if you have one (not for sale) would really appreciate if someone could post a pic. of what I am searching for as I have yet to see one. Thanks - hope I have better luck than I did with the last items I was hoping to find
  8. Peter you are too modest your build is the stuff guys like me can only dream of.I would pay to go for a drive around the block in your car ! You sir are the MAN !!
  9. wow-those look great what a pity we cant choose from them instead !
  10. Seeing as we are obviously all Japanese auto afficionado's here, I was curious as to how many of you are considering(or have already purchased) Japanese style plates (in either 5 or 6 digit forms) I have ordered mine already and think that they are an improvement from standard plates on our classic Japanese rides. Ideally the 5 digit plates look more authentic but if you are just upgrading your current-standard plates you take what is given. What do you all think - opinions good, bad, indifferent
  11. In a word - AWESOME !
  12. welcome to the group and thankyou for such a passionate and very articulate(considering English is your 3rd langauge)introduction ! Like your self I also love the 2+2 lines (even more so than the 2 seater) so its always gratifying to hear when someone else shares the love . I wish you guys all the best in your projects and hope to hear more on how the restorations progress.
  13. Agreed they really need chrome trim but unfortunately not an option with this set.Anyone know of their availability?
  14. Hi Rev- they were not as easy to fit as instructions intimated as brackets provided were too short - so had to make new larger brackets in order to fit . I also choose to drill and fasten down covers as opposed to using double sided tape as I felt it gave a neater finish. Hey peter - beautiful looking z there !
  15. Hi guys-thought someone here may appreciate before/after pics of headlight covers (purchased off ebay US seller ) if you are considering this addition to your car.I guess like anything you probably either like or loathe them.Personally I think they enhance front appearance of car but again-each to their own.
  16. I looked at this car myself and gave it very serious consideration but some issues evident with too many questions unanswered left me unable to commit. I hope all goes well for new owner - known if member here ?? I would really be interested in follow up re. reregistration/roadworthy.
  17. ..........anybody........Bueller...........anybody
  18. Hi guys hope someone can help finish off my interior as I am in need of passenger front armrest in good condition (including all hardware and chrome trim peice). Armrest must be black please.Happy to cover postage costs if not local. Would be greatly appreciated as this is the last peice in the puzzle for me
  19. Thank God !! I thought I was the only one with the "found my perfect car AFTER just buying my compromise perfect car" curse ! I waited 12 months for the 260z I bought and as much as I love my Datsun, soon after buying her I saw the perfect, untouched, factory stock example pop up on gumtree for $2.5k less than I spent I think we are all guilty of wanting to pat ourselves on the back with our latest aquisition comparing to others on the market but sometimes its too much like tempting fate as sooner or later THE perfect car will turn up ..
  20. I know some Z owners here are purists who may not appreciate this but I think your car looks fantastic and would love to see meet up some time. I have a 260 2+2 , I am very proud of and am not too far away from you in Wantirna
  21. hi Rev-I can use your help for a few hours work-much prefer your expert assistance than my inept local mechanic. Im in Wantirna and hoping to get this work finished sooner rather than later.
  22. Hey well done - looks beautiful .
  23. Hello again Mr Camouflage--just noticed an obvious difference in the internals with my 260z pic showing black wire attatched to rear of spring arm and your earlier post of the 240z not showing any wire attatched. Also note that spring arm of 240 is much closer to edge of column than my 260.Surely then it must be either of /or combination of both ,that that is creating the problem? What do you think ??
  24. Ok thats very helpful-yet again. Thankyou kindly I will try to get to the bottom of this over the next few days. Best regards and profound thanks for your knowledge/advice
