I ideally want a RHD, both for the ease of driving on our roads, and it just feels odd to shift with the other hand etc, especially when driving in anger.
In terms of converting it to RHD, it just adds to the number of parts that I would have to source (dash, steering, lines etc) and hence increases the cost.
At 11.5k asking price, it's already a bit steep for what I am looking to pay (I am happy with a car that doesn't run like the one that is missing its compliance plate), as I plan on stripping the car back completely and starting from scratch.
I am happy to be convinced otherwise, but just avoiding extra headaches if I can. I am sure with whatever I do end up with, I will have some nasty surprises, especially with the car's reputation for rusting from the inside out.
