Yeah cheapest ones at $900-1000 new.. Hoping to find one that has had some love and not needed anymore and pay half ish or so.:) Has to be plenty lying around that no longer get used.

I wouldn't be trusting anyone who is importing cars.. Ive got 18years motor trade experience and know plenty of them and haven't found one yet i would trust. You can do a Equifax company search but would cost money. would tell you who directors are and what not..

She is a tinny bit tired but planing to bring her back to her full glory. Yeah, Check out Ceva or get my ride. Syd to QLD / Syd to VIC is a very common trip so can be cost effective. Its trying to go across Aus is a expensive exercise.

If the car drives you should be able to get Qld to Sydney or Melb to Sydney for $500. You can always get a $79 tiger flight to look at it. If it's the right car drive it home or get a $79 tiger flight home. If you spending 10-15k on a 280 there wouldnt be any issues driving it home from interstate if it had rego.

You shouldn't start the eBay auction so low as that is attracting the bottom feeders. 10k is enough to attract 10x more people than you need too. List it for $25k and you might only attract a handful of people but least they are serious. Starting at 10k will make 50 people send messages thinking they can own it for that.

Anyone know or have experience with registering a V8 in NSW.? Looking at a 260z 2 Seater and what is the largerest capacity engine can legally fit for rego and engineering. I see the old old 5litre floating around. Can you still V8 them.?

Hey Guys, thanks for the replies. I just sold a toy for $15k and that money was always going to a car buy have bought too many other toys over the last couple of years so that money had to pay some debts. I'm not in a mojor rush as kids are taking up all my time now but am looking for a long term project. A roller would be fine as I will do an drive train swap. I'm after a 2 Seater as I like the lines of the roof. There has been plenty of 2+2s pop up in Sydney for 10k over the last two years. That green one is in sydney and is very rusty. Spent a lot of its life in the weather by the looks.

Well the time has come guys. Been wanting a Z for ages and finally sold my last project so I'm ready. To many toys so had to sell to make room for a new one. I'm in Sydney so local would be perfect but might travel for the right car. Must be a 240 or 260 2 Seater only as I love the lines of the roof. Looking for a long term project so open to anything at this stage. Running car would be good but would also be happy for a car with no running gear as the project will be an engine driveline swap anyway. I'm new to Zs so this will be my first and looking forward to many happy years ahead. Prefer mostly complete and not just a shell, rust is expected but nothing fatal. Happy to strip down and put on a rotisserie so will be a ground up. With a 1.5yo kid and another due in a few weeks budget is tight, $5000 would be ideal but will consider higher if it's the right car. Open to any suggestions, advise or opinions at this stage as like I said I'm new to the scene and have been happily admiring for the last few years. Located in Engadine Sydney.
