Thanks everyone, I spoke to Terry Russell this morning (thanks Ben) and he located some in Melbourne for me and are now in the post! what a great guy, I used to live in Adelaide and I do miss the service you mostly dont get in Sydney!

Gareth - Yes that was this car, no damage - just long grass that I could have been pushed out of but my navigator has no legs - lucky it was a driver fault so I couldnt curse him;) Tasy was just a learning experience for us and with the new engine with 55HP extra in prior to High Country we found ourselves competitive all of a sudden. The L28 was built by our engine sponsor - more of a combined effort with alot of internals coming from Stew Wilkinson and he did the head as well. Running some 45mm OER's and a new set of the Yodas Ceramic headers that will set you back 1K - pretty sexual looking things though! and a nice flange free exhaust by Jimmy at Liverpool exhaust who always helps us out Its a very strong cage and good side bars as you can see, no chance of the front end flapping off either. All of the Custom stuff like the Diff mount was designed by the Yoda, fortunately we have a workshop where we can make it ourselves to cut costs. R32 gearbox and R200 LSD, king springs and koni adjustables.

If you have a facebook account, become a fan of "Team legacy assist" Check out the videos of the Legacy 240z in action!!! The Navigator is Damien Thomlinson, you may have seen him on 60 Minutes (he has two prosthetic legs after losing his own in Afghanistan) He did a top job as navigator!!!

After contesting Targa Tasmania this year, I would recommend you not waste any money changing the current specs on your car. The regs are very detailed and were complied 20 years ago when the event started and organisers cared. I spent alot of time sourcing parts that I didnt end up needing. After seeing the way they approach regs and their compliance I wouldnt worry about your vehicle. If you wanted you could protest every other vehicle there and their illegal mods. To rap it up, lip service is paid to that document and as long as your car looks decent and has an L-series engine you will be right. Happy to ans any other questions you have. 0439301824 MC

What they are worth and what people want to pay are two different things. They are in working order, I have had them on Ebay with a starting bid of $900. At the end of the day I need them sold to put towards a bigger set.

I have for sale a set of triple 40 Mikunis. These carbies are in good working order and was not my intention of selling until I was informed that they would be to small for my L28 that has undegone a decent rebuild and modification. These were running on the engine previous. So I am selling these to be able to put towards the upgrade. Please make me an offer (PM) as I havent seen many around to make a decent assesment on what they are worth. Thanks Matt

Hi and Merry Xmas to all AUSZCAR members. As a Z car owner and forum member for a year now I want to highlight that this time of year is a time of reflection. At some stage I have no doubt that a moments thought is given by forum members to the fine men who have paid the ultimate sacrifice this year in the interest of Australia, inturn allowing our freedom and the fortunate lives we live in this great Country of ours. I have a project at the moment that involves a 240z and the goal of raising 100k for a couple of Charities. A major sponsor elludes the team at this stage and we have come to the realisation that our money outside of the fundraising will be sourced in small amounts and gifts in-kind. We do have some small sponsors and Bob Hawke is the patron of our Project. We have purchased through Stew Wilkinson most of our suspension and drive assembly atm and we are still chasing a few small pieces, fortunately we have had Bruce Parker CEO HM GEM Engines provide a full build on the engine which we are very grateful, as most of you know this is a god send. At this stage our first media/fundraising event will be in Martin Place on the 3/4 Feb hopefully getting some good exposure through free to air TV.
