  1. Yes, too hard. I don't know a mechanics that would be happy to leave the car jacked up on a hoist for roughly three weeks while the struts were out and interstate. I also live an hour away from my car and have done so now for over 12 months. I don't have a garage, a carport or a shed at my house to be able to pull the struts out. I haven't even been able to even bring the zed to my house since i moved. So yes, this is actually all to hard for me. I need to be able to drop my car somewhere and be able to pick it up completed.
  2. Well, thats another little bit done now, coil overs are next, if you guys caught my thread in the suspension area. But my list of things I want to do is getting bigger and bigger.
  3. Only problem with this MCA bloke is that the 07 number indicates he is interstate, so I can't drop the car off and pick it up complete. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/D2-Racing-RS-Coilovers-36-Way-Adjustable-70-78-240Z-260Z-280Z-Suspension-Kit-/221793747215?hash=item33a3f0010 Can I buy the above and pay someone to weld on the required parts, would that be all that I would need? Or a similar kit?
  4. Not particularly looking for low cost, just for someone to do the work for me. I mean, i love to save coin, but i dont want a ghetto install.
  5. Can somebody point me in the direction of some adjustable coilovers that I can bolt in. And if thats not a possibility, show me what to buy, piece by piece for the four corners and tell me who can do the weld up and installation. I would rather give someone the car and pay them to collect the parts and install them.
  6. Welcome mate! Guys, a little back story. I sent Nick here to get a little advice and help. He is building a z31 and while we are aware this forum doesnt officially deal with the outcast 300zx, parts and bodies do come up for sale occasionally. He is truly a new enthusiast to the point were he has just started a mechanics apprenticeship to learn how to work on his car.
  7. Oh yeah, custom as it comes. Cutting down the restored carbon fibre airdam and cutting and shutting the skirt.
  8. Its an off the shelf part for a g nose, no problems! But its a pricey part just for a skirt lol.
  9. Cheers guys, I think I will now order the front lip to pair with my flares, but it will have to be modified as it is too suit the g nose. And one day I would like to buy new chrome bumpers.
  10. I haven't had the offset changed in the front wheels yet, but soon!
  11. fitment - exactly what my issue is currently lol!
  12. Guys, Got a query and have had a discussion with my tyres shop guy. The rear end of my car is non symmetrical? The passenger wheel is about 10mm outside the guard more the drivers side. I was told this was common in nissans. Is this normal, or is it too be corrected, I am aware the cars have no adjustment. The car doeant pull to the side and the guards are the same width.
  13. Totally snapped the plastic handle of the bonnet release and I am chasing a replacement. I will be at the classic japan event tomorrow in Como Park else I will pay for postage also. Thank you.
  14. Yep. Definitely going. See you guys there.
  15. Potter I have a spare passenger one you can have
  16. Chasing a 260z tail light surround/garnish for the right hand side. Must have no damage. Cheers guys
  17. The car is now back home riding on 275s up the back, I haven't finished up the front fitment yet, but I will be sending the front wheels off for an offset change and will have to get the angle grinder out to remove unwanted inner guard that the wheels will foul on. But one step at a time these days.
  18. I think I will be going.
  19. Car shows are hard for me to enjoy because I am a bit of intravert with new people so I kinda get to an event. Park up and hide somewhere. And most of my friends are not car guys so they dont enjoying coming with me to events.
  20. Edit.. not sure how this post occured
  21. Everything in this paragraph bah the restoration describes me and I dislike and disagree with your comment. I type this whilst wearing my flatbrim and after spending another 2500 bux on rust and paint.
  22. Hey guys, i have a surplus of 4 tyres for sale. I have a pair of Falken 275/40zr17 The tyres are near new in the tread, but they have been sitting a while so there is some cracking in the tread. I have been assured by my tyre shop they more than fine for road use, but perhaps not for the burnouts and the drifting. The other tyres I have are a pair of 225/45r17 Continental Brand, good tread no defects. Sorry, only photo I have. I want $50 a pair, pick up from pakenham
  23. All back together and out of the panel shop and straight into the tyre shop. The 275s will go on the rear, the 245s up front and new springs to raise it up have to go in. All in all I am happy with the work that has been done, but it makes me find other things that now have to be done.
  24. You can buy new metal badges online, and they are genuine Nissan parts, but I think it is a case of all the stock available was purchased by stores to sell. Nissan list a lot of badges as obsolete.
