  1. Nah it was a typo Im going for the 2011 ones Look for the yellow 260z limo
  2. This would be a great drive to go on to get there Im hoping to have car ready for 2010 but not sure its an achievable goal I dont care if there are other datsuns there as long its not full of "fully sick skylines"
  3. I teach solid edge during working hours On weekends i work with alot of engine management systems
  4. Vinny im intersted in these How are we going to get them to me
  5. Yeah im keen to find this one out as well
  6. Ok sweet I will work on a new design tonight Steel is cheaper as well
  7. I will play with the drawing more tonight to see if i can get the figures higher Im thinking maybe even cut it out of steel but make the material thiner as well as less metal , ie larger holes with an X in between to give it some strgh
  8. I understand what your thinking But if i want to have it with no holes in it I may as well just have the stock one in there painted alloy colour I was going for the look, the main thrust actually goes to the front mount as this is the point furthest away from the centre of the movement The next thing i am going to do is build a mount that stops the front coming up like the rt ones you can buy
  9. Yup thanks for that Its the very thing i was thinking, it wants to lift the front of the diff up. Im going to make a mount for the front of the diff with a rubber block over the top to stop it lifting to far. Your input is appreciated
  10. Thats awesome, that will be the design i get cut out then Thanks heaps for that , i wouldn't mind a copy of that software you have
  11. Wow thats different huh The v3 model as more metal in it than the v2 model
  12. Thats also assuming you have traction at that point to huh I think trying to put 400ftlb down in first gear with out breaking traction would be a hard thing as well
  13. OK try this It has the dimensions corrected I emailed it to you
  14. Thats awesome Thanks for that , and the time taken to help me out
  15. Yup no issue I will have to do it later today.
  16. It may be easier to call you Can you pm me a number please
  17. I am reinventing the wheel Its just part of my playing with my car I'm trying to make things look different / better Thanks for your input I'm not sure myself yet if its going to be strong enough but I will keep working on it
  18. Sorry to hear that If your going to go for the rb series which you should ethier go for the rb25 block with the rb26 internals or the king and the rb30det
  19. Mine is going to be running an rb30det so there is going to be some torque through it There is a certain amount of force from the sheer weight But i believe as long as the front mount is ok your going to be transferring load to the chassis through there more The front of the diff is further away from the twisting cntre so its going to hit that mount hardest first
  20. Yeah once i get the right measurements im going to make one I need one for my car
  21. Its made from 6061 and its half inch alloy I think the major issue you would have is if you had a worn front mount The front mount should take the majority of the torsional load I'm still waiting on exact dimensions to finish it off then off to the water cutter
  22. was going to go for 6061 or maybe just 5000 series this depends on the results of your tests
  23. Cracked a 30.1 on the kart track Im hoping to break 29 this coming weekend <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jySNOja7kss&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jySNOja7kss&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  24. OK i will do a mirror image and shove the block on the other side so you can hold it there as well Also i will increase reduce the gusset on that hole to leave more metal there so it will be stronger there is also a torsional force on this part as the top bolt holes are held the bar tries to twist up Mr camo man I need to get it right with the holes in there as its a water jet job and as such they cant do depth I suppose i could do it with out holes at all but it wouldn't look as trick
  25. Its kind of hard to make them look to much different if your water cutting them out of alloy But yes i was using there pictures for ideas on the drawing
