  1. May be the best idea for me aswell haha Just got off the phone with the brake shop, brakes will be done on friday and will be on the car friday night, leaving 4am sat morning to get into syd for a nice full day of awesomeness
  2. no, you must have the car george! I really wanna see it
  3. Allright, the brakes are all off and going to the shop tommorow, the parts are arriving by air freight tommorow and the car should be driveable by friday night. which means i will leave piss early saturday morning to get to syd to spend the day and will drive home on Monday. That's if all goes to plan haha
  4. If my brakes are fixed by friday i'll leave early sat morning otherwise i may not be able to come (I have no brakes right now so the car is up on stands )
  5. I was told to get an r180 one unless i misundertood Anyways, how much?
  6. I have an l28 Meh, let the other person have it it would cost lots to ship to me
  7. Would this work on a 260? I'd love ac haha
  8. The mount fixed it holy F*** it's awesome now
  9. I'm still learning...
  10. I did listen to you.. I am only going to replace 1st... just wanted to know if i could do it or not... thanks.
  11. I need to replace my syncro rings but want to know if i can do it myself or do i have to get a mechanic to do it? I have asked 3 mechanics to give me quotes but none have called me back and when i revisited, none knew anything about it.. Didn't inspire confidence in me so i thought maybe i could do it myself? I know i can get the rings from SW Motorsport so it's just a matter of replacing them....
  12. Heya, Is it from an R180 diff? If so, how much? Regards Dave.
  13. So to increase the longevity of the diff mount, i should get a brace made up that goes over the top of the diff?
  14. got a moustache bar? Also, what kind of zed are they off?
  15. someone posted something but deleted it... He had the original chain setup there but the bolts had the mount welded on... This means that the bolts couldn't leave the original brace lol http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=5157.0;attach=8774;image is what rbz260 posted.. see http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,5157.0.html
  16. http://designefx.net/zed/diffMount/ :D Just arrived, paid yesterday morning. arrived just then Genuine nissan diff mount, 116$ all up (95$ + 11$ express posting) Will put it in tonight
  17. rbz260 posted with with the mount that normally holds the chain but there was a mount welded onto the bolts... To get it off, you would have to cut the bolts off or take the mount off the chassis...
  18. haha, is that diff mount welded in? To get it out, your going to have to cut the bolts of right?
  19. I thought it would be the opposite? It's preventing the struts from flexing too much preventing wear? But i have no idea :S
  20. I would probably just spend the extra and get the triangular ones... Although, like i said, once i get these triples in and the Aussie dollar picks up more, I'll be getting some either from online or get an engineer to do them up... Might be a way to do a group buy later down the track?
  21. Yer, i couldn't care what they look like ai Thanks for the info though..
  22. cool, I will get them when the dollar gets a bit stronger. It's almost there Cmon Aussie dollar!!!
  23. I have seen pics of what solid diff mounts can do after a long time.. there was a pic of the chassis that had caved in on itself from the torture of a solid mount... Anyways, it arrives on Friday night so it will be in by Saturday lunchtime.... Then will be able to drive without pussyfooting hearing clunks whenever i shift... It's been off the road for awhile becuase i was afraid something was going to get damaged lol
  24. Was considering but it's a daily so...
  25. Yer, will be replacing it anyways
