While people continue to hot rod Z cars us guys with original cars will be looking good as the years go buy as long as we don't let our kids drive them. That should get a few laughs.

Hey Tim, Thats pretty much on the money. My new one was $125 +GST then had to swap some parts from the old one as couldn't get the fronts to work. New clutch master was $60 and slave $30 +gst I was going to recon mine but went new. Still have old ones just in case. Pics of gearbox sent to pm. Picking up rebuilt L26 engine tomorrow, Another $2g What the heck it is only money, everyone has money but not everyone has a Z.

Hey Tim, I just saw this. I could have got you a new one from Springwood brake and clutch to bolt straight in. Got my new brake and clutch master and slave plus all new lines from them cheers.

Yes I got all new belts from Hemco. Only had use my old droplinks on the front belts. What a job to change them. They are the retract type.

Quote is from engine rebuilders that have been at the same place for years. Have head work done by them in the past with zero problems. Not going to be hard driven so looks like I will go with them. will post their web site next.

G.day, I have been quoted $2150.00 for a complete L26 bottom to top rebuild. Does this sound like a resonable amount? Doesn't include bolt on stuff like water pump, dissy etc. Just spent $2000.00 on new interior not counting the recon dash. Would post pics but have not got a clue how to do it. Car is off the bbq with all new shocks, rubbers, steering rack, rails and paint underneath.

Hi, Can anyone help with who may sell new tail light seals and gear boots for a 260z 2+2? I haven't been to Nissan yet. I saw them on a US site once but can't find them again. Cheers.
