  1. Hey datsfreak, Worked a treat. The only thing is it won't self cancel. Thanks John
  2. Hey datsfreak/scootag, hope you've had a great Easter. Just a little question, does the toggle switch need to be of a certain rating, volt, amp etc..? Thanks John
  3. Hi datsfreak, Glad i found the topic. When I indicate left nothing happens, it worked intermittently yesterday and then stopped working, right side no prob. If one side works and not the other is the switch still the prob? I checked bulb, that was ok so i thought there must be something wrong with the switch, so i think i'll give your recipe a shot. Regards John
  4. Hi Warren, Car look great with the Rota's. You must be very happy with the result. If you don,t mind me asking, where did you get the Toyo's from? John
  5. Hi guy's, I am considering going, need to give the old man a day off from painting the house, as it wouldn't be right having him painting away whilst I'm cruizin in the Z. Any body else thinking of going? What's the weather forecast? John
  6. Hi all, not sure if this topic has been discussed before, but i was hoping someone here has come across this issue. Walked into the garage tonight, lifted the car cover off the Z and noticed at the base of the drivers door mirror cracked paint. Now I started scracthing my head thinking WTF. I havent driven the car for 2 weeks and prior to that I washed it, parked it and put the cover back on, all was perfect. My dad and I have been hard at preping and painting the exterior of the house(ahh the joys of a weather board home), been to stuffed to drive anywhere. I know we've had some extremely scoarching weather, surely that would'nt have caused it, then I realised that my dad(god bless him)being in and out of the garage has been knocking the mirror so I called him tonight and questioned him on it and yes he admitted knocking it a few times, well I let him know that they must have been some hard knocks. Has any one experienced this? is it worth calling one of the mobile paint repairers? Thanks John
  7. Great work Scando, looking forward to in car footage. Chris, I watched the highlites of the Adelaide Classic, some great cars, especially the Z's. I cried when they showed in car footage on the 240Z that was in 3rd possition in classic class (Devenish - Carr)hit that tree, as great as a tarmac rally would be to do, hmmmmm. There were many others that did worse damage like rolling there car's. So there 4 240's in that class finishing 4th, 20th and 21st and the DNF in a field of 50 cars and many with some serious hp, just proves that you don't need massive hp to get great results as Scando has proven. John
  8. Hi Guy's, Had a great day, big thanks to Gordo for opening his place up for all that attended, awesome turn out. Pitty the weather changed and couldn't continue the drive up to the top, "Fire up 2009". John
  9. I'm heading to P.I late Sat afternoon for last PIARC sprint meet on Sunday for the year, any one else attending? John
  10. Hey Rev, I'll be there with the Z, on show. I think Dalee was also attending. John

  12. Sulio, was going to make it on the 19th, 20th flying out to Adelaide for conference, back Saturday night, off to Cars of the World on Sunday, any one else going to that? John
  13. Hi guy's, nice 240/260 ? Red Z convertible cruizin Lygon st tonight, sounded tough, V8 may have blower/supercharged, any one know of it? John
  14. Hi Ash, sounds great, count me in. I was planning on doing at least 4 events next year. I was at P.I last month for the PIARC sprints and hoping to be there again Nov 29th&30th, last PIARC sprint for the year. The new Haunted Hills track looks and sounds good, missed out on that meet. John
  15. Sorry, I missed you guy's. Got to King Lake around 2.00pm, called Rev's mob but you had all set off back home, enjoyed the drive none the less and headed back home via Yarra Glen, great drive. Hope to meet up on the next cruise. John
  16. Hey guy's, bugger, unfortunately can't meet at Krispy's in the morning got urgent matters to attend to. I still want to take the Z for a spin out King Lake way and would still like to meet up with you guy's if your going to be around there. Rev I'll put your mob# in my phone and maybe call you when i get to King Lake and see where you're at. John
  17. Hi Rev, Sorry for the late inclusion, I'm in if it's cool with you guy's, don't have a 2 way though. Is bbq lunch still on? What's everyone bringing? John
  18. I was so looking forward to the meet especially after a buzz at the P.I sprints, a few weeks ago but the Sandown sprints clashed with around the bay in a day bike ride which i've paid for and i've been riding my ass off to not do it. Plus the Z needs a retune and dyno'd, have it running better for P.I sprints 29th & 30th Nov, i should be there. John
  19. Hey Sulio, I met you at the Viczcar meeting and had a brief look at your car that night, great car, you've certainly put a lot of time and $ in getting it to this stage. Don't do it you'll kick yourself. I understand where you're coming from as i was in a similar position with $$$ required to do a reno, hence why i bought the zed after the reno. I'm sure it was and is a hard decision to make. Good luck with the sale. John
  20. I agree totally, suspension and brakes are of massive importance. Since i've had the Z back from having JE forged pistons, new rings, rods, bearings put in, the car has been running very rich. I had it on the dyno and best run was 125rwkw. With some fine tuning through the kalmaker management system should be able to get her running better, hoping for around 150rwkw. John
  21. Thanks for the comments guy's. Not sure on best lap time as results aren't posted yet, but not expecting anything great. Hope to improve with each outing. I hope to be back at P.I in November for another crack, hopefully with a few more killer wasps at the wheels. John
  22. Thought I'd post some pics. John
  23. Hi Guy's First time at P.I, actually first time on a track with the Zed. Awesome track, had a blast. Went down on Saturday afternoon, ran on Sunday. Pretty good turn out. Wasn't to concerned on lap times, just wanted to learn the limits of the car and the get used to the track. Had 4 sessions and i improved with each lap. It was 1 standing lap followed by 3 timed laps, there were between 12 - 18 cars on the track each session. There were 3 other Z's there, Silver 240z, white 240z and a red 350z. On Saturday there was a blue 240z, didn't see it on Sunday, there were plenty of quick cars. John
  24. Hi Warren, It seems to have sorted itself out. Since I charged the battery it's been good, voltage regulator is doing it's job. Hope it's not an intermittent issue. John
