just on another note, can you modify SU's to apply mechanical advance ? In the old days I had a 13b- RX4 (with standard downdraught carb) that I had the secondaries modified to mechanical advance instead of vacuum, it was a 1/2 hour job and made a great difference. Ive got series 6 Su's (less than 6 months old) and they have run faultlessly apart for some minor timing issues.

yeah great run fellas.. I really enjoyed the dash back down the mountain, I gotta put my 16" rims on, the cheese cutters started to squeel a bit. good pics Rhino.

I agree with Nato, its very reasonable. Why do so many guys on this website constantly talk down the value of zeds for sale ? Dont ever talk down the $ value of your asset or someone elses. I said Hmmmmm in my previous post cause I thought the 260 was cheap ! If we keep having a 'polite" dig at someones asking price well never achieve the sales prices reached by cars like LC & LJ Toranas & some rotaries. UP-sell not down-sell.

Geez Gav $12K !!! you cant get a half decent zed for $12k. You are being very harsh. Yeah the bird bath on the hatch & tail-lights are not my scene, but Ive seen worse body "makeovers" Hmmmm this car isnt one for the purists.

I think this may have been posted previously ..this has been around for a while...its shows factory (U.S) paint colours...click on the colour to see some great retro zeds...I love the beige ! fellas Id like to buy a radiator overflow tank from the wreckers (or new) for my 240z, Im just curious as to where you guys may have mounted them in the engine bay...I was even thinking of retro-fitting a chromed aluminium "drinking" bottle...(the type you see at the camping shops).. any thoughts ?

Peter $10-12k should get you a very clean 2+2. look up carpoint.com.au . as there are half a dozen there. In my opinion the green (canberra car) 2+2 on carpoint is my pick of the bunch. chris

I dont think I'll be cruzing the next few weeks.. Ive got a serious water leak happening. I just replaced my water pump a few a hours ago and when I filled my radiator the timing cover sprang a leak, and I mean leak !! I could have a pinhole in my front cover........... Im waiting for a mate to bring a small telescopic mirror over, as I cant get a good look at it no matter what I do. As it turns out my water pump was fine... Ive really got the sh*ts !! aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..

if anyone is looking at flushing this weekend......remember to turn the heater on for a few minutes then drain the radiator (allow) to cool a bit, amazing what comes out. Or disconnect heater hose(s) and run water from garden hose thru the heater hose geeeently, while also running the heater to get the gunge out from the heaterbox. The heaterbox on zeds is the lowest point that holds water and is always forgotten when flushing the cooling system.

The car did have plain water prior to flushing, and I foolishly added a a heap of Glycol concentrate which was exactly when the leak started (bit more than suggested actually....) arrr its all making sense now ! No more green diswashing liquid.
