There was a rubber gromet that goes between the body and the bar aprox 20mm

You can get the reinforcing arm from the z shop for about $ 66.00 good luck with it . iam about to do the same job on my z and would love to here how you went with it regards bruce

Hi to all I own a 73 240z that we have had for about 10 years. it is in far condition but very standard and is curently away having it carbie rebuilt. It present for doing 100000 mile. The "Z" is my day to day drive car and is well knowen around town after a brush with the law. re selt belt position. "I won my day in court". I have been enjoying reading all the posting and felt that it was time to join in with all the fun. I hope to meet some of the other member at this next meeting which I see is coming up next week. regards Bruce Spamaster240z
