  1. nice shots dave see you all @ 7
  2. with the right setup you're off the ground on one side into most corners. certainly one wheel anyway.
  3. it's parramatta road. i usually get there a few minutes late cause i also work in the city so don't speed on the early people's account
  4. i think you guys are judging this engine on what you expect/need rather than what IT was designed for. it's a well priced specialty engine which can't be compared to the stuff we would want in a Z to drive to work.
  5. hey dave, will you be my friend? good to hear we have a pro coming along. i can relax and stop pretending i know what i'm doing ^^ do you have a portfolio online?
  6. i always carry a camera peter has a nice one too.
  7. ya i'll have some car porn please.
  8. want to wash my car peter?
  9. no problem. weather was crap like you say. keen for a wednesday photoshoot
  10. i bought a mazda 323 astina the other week. has two flat tyres! bling
  11. i'll come for a look see if you guys are meeting up.
  12. minto. what the hell is a minto? is that in brisbane? there's a go kart place in arncliffe all these public tracks have shite karts though
  13. or you can forget about bashing your car and get into kart racing. you'd be surprised how much fun that is and anyone that writes it off as below car racing hasn't felt the roar of a 15,000rpm engine propel them 100+ km/h around a corner 1 inch off the ground. it'll knock your socks off. budgets are also a lot more reasonable. i'll talk to you about it at our next meet.
  14. all you need to know is here http://www.cams.com.au/ i'd suggest talking to the mx5 club of nsw http://www.mx5.com.au/nsw/ and joining in on one of their open track days. it's a great way to get your car on the track with minimum fuss. lots of car clubs do this btw.
  15. that's a pretty broad question what kind of racing?
  16. yeah the torque is low and high rev but it looks like they built them with clubmans in mind (?).
  17. plastic. that's phils car. really clean.
  18. here's a few snaps from last night. forgive the grain. these are all hand shot film for those in the know, it's superia 1600 on an olympus om-1 (cam is as old as our cars ^^ ) looking forward to a photo meet as discussed. should be good with digi cams and tripods.
  19. they build 90kg 400hp L28's by the dozen now i see? nice.
  20. interesting to say the least. would be good for power:weight but not for the pocket. 400HP @ 10,000 rpm with stock street cams <--- insane 245 ft-lbs torque @ 7500 rpm <--- pretty weak but not bad i guess 200 lbs engine weight = 90kg = porn dyno run vid. pretty cool http://www.h1v8.com/f/dyno_mpeg_compressed.mpg would love to drive this just for the high rpms.
  21. oh don't expect much from my pics. the film i was using is very experimental and they're likely to turn out really dodgy.
  22. if michael is the chief can i be the indian? im free whenever. just make sure it's not on the carrs park weekend which is 21/09.
  23. yeah i'll put them in tomorrow. nice to meet your mate who's yet to register here correct? and also phil. very nice car you have there. scared myself shitless on the way home. i forgot to turn on the fans after i left and it got up to 235f just as i was turning on to elizabeth street. so glad i glanced over at the guage. i pulled over as soon as i could and let her cool down. could have popped within minutes. it is a habbit of mine to glance at the guages constantly but it can creep up on you very quickly.
  24. c'mon paul you can do it. we have faith!
  25. silly question but where is it held this time around? cheers
