After seats to suit 240z with rails doesn't have to be original but prefer bolt in setup. Please show me what you have. Note i have original 260z seats with rails available and mx5 seats with adaptor plates for possible swap.

Hope this is the right place to post guys - but I'm halfway through a SR20DET conversion in my 240z and trying to sort out my driveshaft to fit between the S14 5 speed transmission and my 240z diff. I'm planning to simply shorten my existing driveshaft to suit as it seems to match the transmission teeth etc. However I'm not sure if I need to cut the dust collar off the yoke for it to sit in properly. Can anyone confirm this? And any other advise for driveshaft shortening for swaps? PS. Tried searching here and Hybrid Z. PS. Anyone else here have a SR20DET in their zed??

Thanks for the info Gav, I'm looking for a more complete package for this first round, but will keep this in mind. Cheers, Den.

Hi fellas , I'm pulling out my existing driveline (SU Carb L28 5 speed) for a long term, expensive upgrade. Therefore I'm after a modern engine package to drop into the zed for a period of time. This may be a long shot, but does anyone have a complete engine and transmission ZED setup they are willing/intending to part with such as a: SR20DET RB20/25/30DET 1JZ etc etc Regards, Den. I had a similar issue and put up nearly the exact same post as you. However I ended fixing the issue as the problem was the three screws which held the mechanism in place, they were incorrect lengths and was preventing the door from locking. Try mucking around with these in the meantime hunting your part. Check out this (last comment): http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/26920-door-lock-problems-driving-me-nuts-1971-240z/

Gents, I currently run a Pertronix module / setup in my L28 (SU Carbs). I've just got my hands (very cheaply) on a Crane XR3000 ignition module and a matching LX91 coil. My question is can this be used in conjunction with my pertronix? Does anyone run something similar? It seems Crane have their own module which is an optical pickup / trigger and has three wires that come out of the dizzy whereas the Pertronix is magnetic (?) and has only two wires coming out. As per the diagram attached the Crane XR3000 ignition module has three wires that seem to match their own module only. After ringing up Crane they said it doesn't work with anything else but a crane module but I just wanted to make sure before I buy their module and ditch the Pertronix. Thanks in advance, Den.

Found this great little replacement for the wheels (see images) at Bunnings thanks to the kind advice given above; was a direct screw on and now got my windows sliding up and down again! Cheers, Den.

Thats great, I'll sus bunnings/zshop and see how I go. Happy new year!

Hey all, One of the little plastic wheel things (as pictured ) which guides the window sliding mechanisms has deteriorated to the point of no longer being able to use the window. Do you know where I could get these from and how to fix it? I would go wreckers but not confident at removing the pin that holds it without damaging it. l am a noob at this sort of stuff btw! Regards, Den.

Currently up on Ebay. Item No: 260437998604. All proceeds go towards my zed. Have a look.

Hey fellas, ive had a bit of look around but can't seem to find any fibreglass flares to put the zed -does anyone know where and how much these cost?

Hi fellas, regarding the old 2-fourty, Im just wanting to know the ideal offsets for each rim width (enough to fill the stock guards). I read somewhere in here that for a 7" rim width a zero offset is ideal. What will be ideal for 7.5" and 8"?

Hey fellas, just wanting to know my options with the ignition switch; currently when i want to start the 240 I have to turn the key fully around....then back little.....then a tiny bit forward and BROOM BROOM -it start to run. This is an annoying procedure so how do I fix this? Is there any NOS left?
