  1. yeah, i've heard this is a fantastic upgrade...haven't heard about the bluebird rotors though...i thought most used stock z rotors or vented rotors from a z31.... how much do those calipers cost and where are they available?
  2. mmmm....that gearbox sounds tasty..... i'm sure if you parted it out it wouldn't be sitting around too long anyway hahaha

  9. over at zcar.com there's been alot of talk about the n47 head that came on early 80's maxima's....these are designed like the p90 with the quench design and heart shaped combustion chambers, but have much smaller combustion chamers, giving higher compression. so....i went to the junkyard the other day to poke around, couldn't find any maxima's but noticed that some early 80's skylines with the L24(E) have an N47 head...i think this is the same as the maxima one is anyone running a MN47 setup? i have an F54 block, i think with dished pistons, so i don't think that the compression would be too high i'm running a p90 head at the moment, and the car is NA so compression is quite low.... just wondering what you guys think?

  12. mmmm, i checked bursons but none seem to have it, i'll just try other synth until i get it rebuilt.... incidently, how much does it cost to get a 5 speed rebuilt? (i know this is a vague question, just after a ball park figure) the syncros are bad, but it holds gear fine thanks again 1976 260Z 2+2 with F54 block, P90A head, twin SU's, 6-2-1 headers
  13. hahahha, my double clutching skills aren't quite up to scratch....slow shifts seem to be the safest way to go autobarn doesn't have it nor does burson or east coast auto spares (bentleigh)....i might give repco a call just to check but otherwise i'll just go with Castrol....cheers 1976 260Z 2+2 with F54 block, P90A head, twin SU's, 6-2-1 headers
  14. Have any of you guys used this? and would you know where to get it? the guys at zcar.com claim it does wonders for a dodgy gearbox. cheers, Luke 1976 260Z 2+2 with F54 block, P90A head, twin SU's, 6-2-1 headers
