  1. Lol - just noticed something in one of zedrallys posts that amused me...
  2. don't know the odds, but I wouldn't be putting money on it myself.... I'm very surprised Australia has gone as far as they have, but against Brazil they'll struggle.... If they do get any further, I reckon someone is paying a lot of money to raise the profile of soccer in this country
  3. Or a setup like you'll see at the concourse - lot of guys running individual pods, but inside a sealed airbox with a duct to the front of the car to pick up cold air..... The temperature of the air going in is just as important as the amount going in.
  4. The reason for which I asked, was because in various other posts (like the one about custom control arms) he talks about things like sending in your current control arms to get them done - the cost of which would likely be so much, you may as well get the bloody things built over here.

    260z gearbox

so what you are saying then, is that the oil filler plug is in the bellhousing, not the gearbox? In which case, wouldn't it have been simpler to just say in your first post that its irrelevant which side the gearbox filler plug is on, because someone may have swapped the bell housing anyway? And as for this: How about answering the question that this thread is all about, using those 'years of experience', so that the rest of us don't have 'read things on the internet' to 'find out' what we want to know, then have some smartass turn around and say thats wrong, and not fully explain himself, or give a complete right answer. Its not the first time you've posted some comment about 'that can't be right, because from my experience', then disappeared and not answered the question that had originally been asked by someone - if you can be bothered to post and tell someone they're wrong, then you can be bothered to answer the question being asked in the first place.

    260z gearbox

Didn't I say that it was a 280zx gearbox? I'm not sure what your point is here..... and it wasn't likely to be a 260z bellhousing, since it was the box that came with my L28....

    260z gearbox

my 280zx gearbox filler plug was on the right.
  8. You do realise that we are in Australia, don't you?
  9. Theres a yellow L28ET 240Z in the June issue of Hot4s, putting out 270kW at 17psi.... Meant to post this a few weeks ago....
  10. I'd be hanging onto those rims..... I think they might well be worth a bit more than $2,000, if you were patient in looking for a buyer - its quite expensive to get hold of wire wheels, which was part of the reason I gave up looking.... I reckon they look pretty awesome on a Zed though, and I'd prob. leave them on there....
  11. Just don't count me in that number, until a post pops up with hundreds of photos of a 180sx with drool patches around it - I need to get one first, and that may not be for a couple of months....
  12. LOL. Good to see someone else has been doing the rounds of the stroker sites.... pretty sure I have those ones bookmarked somewhere too
  13. Hmmm.... it seems to say L28..... but anyhow.... RICE! The nitrous purges are more than a little gay..... Nice looking car though....
  14. i would turn up and run if I had the 180 by then....
  15. I believe the RS means the car was auto? That information is definitely floating around on one of the Z sites though...
  16. I was just going to go with a normal plate, but request to have ZED-260 assigned to me
  17. lol - few people pulling the 'factory option' dodgy then..... wonder what the hell the 2.2 is about though? unless you meant to write 2.4, that sounds like a stroked SR20 or RB20.... can't really think of any worthwhile 2.2s...
  18. This doesn't make sense to me.... do you mean to say she flat spotted her rear tyres? Cause I don't see how you can flat spot brakes....

    F54 + E30 = ?

there is a program floating around called 'L Engine' which will calculate all these sorts of things - if you can't find it anywhere I can email it to you (Its too big to upload here, max size for zip files is 300kb)..... I just plugged those two combos in, and assuming everything is standard L28, besides the head being E30 (although the program only has E31, not E30), flat pistons give around 10.2, and dished gives around 8.56.
  20. just searched trying to find the years the suspension was changed, and VicZcar came up at number 10.... not bad!
  21. centre will fit. Will need spacers for crownwheel to carrier bolts, as i believe in early (ie. Longnose) R200s these bolts were 12mm, but in later models were 10mm. Could be the other way round though. The other issue is I don't believe the 260z stub axle splines will line up with the R33 side gears in the carrier, which means either custom fab stub axles (to retain zed type halfshafts), or a CV conversion... and with an RB25 in there, the CV conversion is probably on the cards anyway? If you jump on HybridZ there is plenty of talk about fitting shortnose R200 (as in R32/33 S13/14/15) centres into longnose diffs. I believe the general consensus was retain your existing crownwheel and pinion, bolt the centre in, and do a CV conversion, but there were other options mentioned as well I believe, although it can be confusing over there sometimes (Damn Americans!)
  22. LMAO.... My mate just sent him a message asking if he'd accidentally pushed zero too many times...
  23. yeah, that was the $5k car that RBZ 260 was looking at i think, with the smoothed over dogleg on one side...
  24. Could be interesting in a crash though, if they were
