no ID plate. i do not think that it is an ex rally or race car, i've had the car for the last 10 years, and before that it was owned by a mate who just had it sitting in his backyard, and before that it was his dads. certainly no log books, nor homologation papers, or cams approved roll cage. i do have some rally tyres on Holden commodore rims i'll throw in for free if you buy it dat2kman.
-
i know, which is why the cars is up for sale, i do not have that kind of money currently. in another 5-10 years i should be able to put that amount in. but unfortunately by that time, this car would most likely be beyond repair. It makes me feel sick to sell it as i am genuinely scared that in 5-10 years time that what is currently worth $60K will be well above $100K I do not beleive this car was a rally or race car. i bought it about 10 years ago, and it has sat in a carport under a cover and then a garage since. It was his father's car who i believe had it from new.

If you are not interested in buy this car, i would request please do not posting in the thread. If you wish pass judgment on me, the car i am selling or talk about the weather, please PM me instead.

I should know better than to trust rego stickers, I imported a 89 model 300zx which Vic roads registered as 88, and no end of arguing and showing them the original application, import papers, recipes from Japan could fix, I sold it about 10 years ago but have since bought it back again from a guy in NSW and NSW rego sticker says it's a 96. But apparently when it was registered in the ACT it was registered as a 90 model...

The chassis number is hs30-01427
-
There is a serial number on the rego sticker, which is 5530975 but guessing that doesn't help? i'll check the firewall tonight when i get home. Only 30 mins till home time. (i love working in schools!)
-
It does, that is what the rego sticker says, but from reading other post today did the 72's have the tool boxes in the boot? maybe a 71 first registered in 72?
-
Not sure about the chassis number, will check tonight. Not sure about front end damage, the rad support is just bent up, it's very rusted so moves quite easily, caught the little feller playing with it while i was taking the photos. From what i can tell i have most if not all of the trim, and most of it is reasonable, i have most/all of the carpet, but it is all rubbish, but keeping it for templates if needed. the dash is there, and the heater /fan could not see the original radio unfortunately. not sure if all the gauges are there and complete, i remember seeing a shoe box with the speedo in it when i first got the car, but the needles where not attached so could even speculate as to what has been going on there... while i would LOVE to keep it and spend the money on it, unfortunately it's the initial outlay of dollars to clean up the rust i just cannot get together. So i think i will be making post in the sale section soon.

and what made it worse, while I was emptying the car and looking at it, thinking this i to far gone for me to look at my 3 year old came outside and asked "What are you doing to my car daddy?" Nearly broke my heart, it was going to be a project for the two of us to work on.
-
Ok, so here are some pics I emptied the car out totally over the weekend, and was disappointed at the amount of rust, so it will be probably going for sale very soon, i cannot afford to stop the rust where it is now, and love the car far to much to hold onto it and let it get worse. Both floorpans are totally gone, as is the passenger side firewall. The boot looks ok, and there is a little rust on the hatch panel but the hatch itself looks ok. The doors are not aweful, and may not need a full reskin. Better it go to someone else that can fix it. Any suggestions on price? Link to the full photobucket album

No not mine..., mine is a lot rougher than that one. Or at least it looks to be...
