  1. I’ll be there, with possibly 1 or all three kids and potentially one wife also. but she might take the kid free opportunity to knock over some Christmas shopping... but that’s enough from me. See you all then! And thanks Mr and Mrs Gordo.
  2. Hi Gordo and All, Spoke to a couple of the guys at Datsun Day about this, it had slipped off my radar. ill be there with my recently “refereshed” 240z, just a few days back on the road!! ...With my wife and three offspring. Looking forward to it! cheers Andrew.
  3. Hi All, Does anyone have a set (2 of) Rear stub axles and companion flanges to suit a 240z (its a late '72 they could pass on at a reasonable price? I'm in Outer East Melbourne, Lilydale area. Getting the pointy end of my rebuild and these are one of the last pieces of the puzzle to fit up to Techno Toy Tuning Rear strut and disc brake conversion... Cheers!!!!! Andrew
  4. Cheers, will check them out!
  5. Hey Guys, I've been on the hunt for front end parts after a little accident... The last item on my shopping list is a radiator supporr panel, preferably 240z but will take a 260z panel, especially early '74 260 which could be the same as the 240z panels, Mark Scoota Kevala told me... Can anyone sort me out or point me in the right direction? I've heard a guy in SA remakes them; nat0z. They might be 260Z panels, but as long as it works (and I think it does) I'm not fussy- do not need to keep it original. I just want a clean one that will last. Can anyone pass on contact deatails for nat0z, or have a panel they can part??? Cheers!
  6. I'm looking for a bonnet for 240Z if anyone is holding one for a needy individual like myself... Preferably NOS if anyone is has one (a big ask I know) otherwise used, as clean as possible. Please let me know if you can help... Andrew.
  7. Hey Guys, I'm in need of a drivers side window winder/crank assembly for my '73 240z., mine's cactus! It needs to be the type with just the rollers on the ends of the arms. Not the one that has the guide rails attached to the rollers. It needs to be the same as the one pictured. If anyone has one to they could sell me (or even give away out of the goodness of their hearts) that would be awesome! Let me know below or via PM, I'm located in outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Hopefully there's someone out there that can help a brother out! Cheers Andrew
  8. Nearly forgot, very nice pics there Gav too.
  9. It was an awesome day today, nice cars and a great bunch of people. Thanks to Gordo and everyone involved once again, it's a great tradition!
  10. I'll be there, with the family in tow this year. Looking forward to it!
  11. Hey Guys, I'll come along too...
  12. Champion, thanks! Good luck for the GF bud... but go Swannies! (sorry my old man goes for them). Catch ya Sunday.
  13. Hey Simon, Let me know and how much and I'll grab it if it's there. That'd be great!
  14. Hey, Would anyone have or know where I can get, the magnet assembly that sits under the stator and on top of the pick up coil in a 280zx distributor? The magnet broke on mine, damn they're brittle! I think the part number is 22158-S6700 from what I have been able to find out... Thanks (i hope), Andrew
  15. I ordered it before actually checking my distributor, and it turns out that its not a single point dissy, hence the stupidity comment. As long as yours is still the standard distributor, from what I've read, they are easy to install and work well. Plenty of info on it here and other forums around. So if you want to pick up a bargain and save the hassle of ordering from the US this could be good option.
  16. I have a new & unused Pertronix Electronic Ignition Kit with black flame thrower coil for sale. Bought it from MSA but can't use it (stupidity! ). Will sell here for $120, pick up from Mount Evelyn/Bayswater, Vic. Also listed on eBay. Here's the link if you want to have peek: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=191262529600 PM or reply for further details. Cheers, Andrew
  17. Hey All, I have 2 new (done 50ks max) Dunlop LM-702 tyres for sale. Size are 235 45 R17. I had them fitted to my 240Z but since I have had it lowered and they are just too wide and slightly rubbing sometimes on cornering. There is no visible marks on them and I have not driven it since I realised the problem. I have arranged 215 40's to replace them but need to sell these to cover the cost. Let me know and PM me if your interested. I paid $180 each for them, so make me an offer. (Will fit beautifully with Falcons fitted with 17's, correct rolling diameter or if your Zed is std ride height). I'm in Mount Evelyn (near Lilydale) in VIC and work in Bayswater. Cheers, Andrew.
  18. I actually arranged them to be shipped seafreight through the freight forwarders we use at my work and charged through work. I can't recall the cost (it was a good 12 months ago at least) but generally if you email MSA they can offer a quote for freight I think, otherwise query it with a few forwarders with the weight and dimensions of the items. Just keep in mind there is duty and GST to pay on top of freight too. It's a good time to buy from the US with the exchange rate up at the moment. I've been going nuts on US ebay recently for a few bits and pieces I needed! Convenience factor too, posted to the door!
  19. Thanks very much Dale, appreciate your comment. To be honest I decided so long ago I can't recall. It was an original 240Z colour, the Orange colour that can appear redder in certain light. That is all I can tell you for now, I can't recall the colour code. :-\ The pics really don't do it justice either; it's got a real depth to it in the flesh. I'll ask Paul Rankin at the panel shop that painted it if he knows and get back to you. Cheers.
  20. I got them through MSA in the US, they are Konig Imagine 17 x 7s (you're correct). They are the correct offset so no spacers and yeah, they look nice too I reckon. Thanks! (BTW Dimitri I didn't end up using the scuttle panel I got off you, if you recall. Hope your Zed is going well mate).
  21. Interesting story actually... It was originally about 2 month project but due to a problem with the undercoat reacting with the primer that was picked up by the panel beater, Rankin's Restorations, Bayswater (at the fault of the paint company's recommendations, not the panel shop) it had to be taken back to bare metal 3 times before it was fixed. Paul at the Rankin's is still chasing them to recoup the costs and labour, but he never asked for a cent more from me. He had never had that problem before either. Patience pays off and I finally got time to put it back together a few weeks ago. Cheers.
  22. Hey All, I have just posted some pics of my 240Z which I have just got back on the road after 18 months of respray and other bits and pieces. Thought you might be interested to see it. Still got new suspension and front brakes to go in this Friday, but otherwise it's mostly done (for now...). Hope to bring it along to the next drive day (whenever that may be). Cheers, Andrew.
