No Worries George! Sorry for the misunderstanding! Also, Rev I got them inside 10 days or so. I thought because I ordered at Xmas it might take longer but they came in right on schedule. Vicroads say they take about 10 days which isn't bad I reckon. Good work guys, glad to hear i'm not the only leet git out there! Andrew.

Hey All, My 240 is in currently having the body re-sprayed (back to bare metal- the whole deal), and while I'm at it thought a bit of a general spruce up was in order (17 inch mags, Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks and springs, reco'd dash, vented/cross drilled rotors and 4 pot callipers front brakes and miscellaneous other shit). Its been about 6 months now and I miss driving it heaps! :'( Anyway, thought I would look up personalised plates in VICROADS for it and found DAT24O (That's letter O, not Zero) was not taken, so I bought em! Just can't believe nobody has done it. So keep an eye out in a couple of months for an orange/red 240Z with DAT24O plates (black and white). Can't wait to get it back on the road! BTW, anyone looking for an incredibly detailed body shop look up Paul at Rankins Restorations, Bayswater. If you are prepared to part with $$$$$ to have it done right, he's the guy for the job. Incredibly fussy, a perfectionist. To the point where he found some small faults in the paint finish due to an issue with the product and he took it all back to bare metal and started again, at his own expense. Delayed the job, but at least I know it's going to be 100%. You don't hear about things like that much these days. 1st class! Cheers, Andrew.

Hi All, Does anyone have a good condition scuttle panel they want to part with? 90% through the re-spray of my 240z and mine is pretty ordinary. PM me if you have one for sale, but I need it in good to excellent condition otherwise there is little point. Cheers, Andrew

WANTED: (Desperately!) Drivers door latch panel section only for 240Z
Andrew240Z replied to Andrew240Z's topic in Wanted
Thanks for the offer Rev, I've got the panel beater onto it now. It was just going to be easier if they had a panel they could weld in off another door. They can repair it, it's just gonna take a bit more time, and time is money! Cheers, Andrew -
WANTED: (Desperately!) Drivers door latch panel section only for 240Z
Andrew240Z replied to Andrew240Z's topic in Wanted
Thanks Gav, Not getting my hopes up, it's a long shot! Think I might just have to repair mine as best as possible. Andrew. -
Hi All, I'm really urgently in need of a drivers door latch section for my 240Z. Not the latch itself but the part of the door where the latch fits into the door. I'm re-spraying (back to bare metal) my 240Z and have found that the area on the door where the latch fits in has cracked beyond easy repair. So I need the section of the door only (cut out of a smashed or rust ridden door) that I can weld into my door to replace it. I'm begging! If anyone has one or knows of the availability of it, please let me know! I need it to keep going with the job, it's the only thing I'm missing to continue. Cheers, Andy.

If it's not too late... I've got a 5 speed I'm selling still fitted to my 240z. It's a great box still in great condition. I'm getting a short ratio box built for me so that's the only reason I'm selling it. I'm in Bayswater, Melbourne if it's more convenient, $500.00 Will need to be removed from the car first which is off the road for a while having a full respray. Let me know, Andrew.

Thanks for the link, I'll look into it.

Wanted- Front Left and Right Guards (fenders) suit 240Z.
Andrew240Z replied to Andrew240Z's topic in Wanted
Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, think I'll keep on the hunt at this stage. Let me know if you have any other interest. It's early days yet, not even sure if I need it for sure until I strip mine back. Thanks for your help. -
Hi, I'm still on the hunt for a full roof section, including some of the pillars if possible. I need to use it to replace a sunroof and want to use the skin to replace my current one. Let me know if anyone knows of a good rust free roof section. Where it is and how much you want for it? Cheers, Andrew.

Great, where's it located? How much would you want for it? PM me with the details. Thanks, Andrew. -
Hi, Just wondering if anyone is interested in buying a great condition 5 speed box which is currently in my 240Z. It's off the road for a few months for a rub back and re-spray and I am looking to replace it with a short ratio box when it's done. The box itself is in great mechanical condition, never had a drama with it. Got no photos as yet but if anyone is interested I can arrange some. The car itself has not been a daily driver since I've had it for 8 years and has done bugger all k's over that time really. Will sell for about $450+ depending on interest. Contact me for more info. Cheers, Andrew.

Hey, I'm may be in need of a set of front guards to suit a 240Z. I'm about to start stripping it back to bare metal and the guards look a bit suspect. If anyone knows of anyone who may have a couple (or even one ) front guards that are in reasonable condition please let me know. Not sure if I'll need them yet but it's handy to know what's out there, thanks! Cheers, Andrew.

Hi All, Help. I need a roof section only for a 240z '72. Reason: Mine has a sunroof and it's going in for a bit of a "spruce up" so I want to get rid of the sunroof because it leaks. So i need a replacement roof section that I can use the skin off to replace mine. If anyone knows of someone wrecking or holding onto a 240z that has a roof in good nick that they don't need in Melbourne- LET ME KNOW! I'll come and cut it out. Thanks, Andrew.

Thanks all for the input! A bit of food for thought! :-\ Long road ahead; unfortunately she'll be off the road for a few months now. I'm after a roof section in good condition too if anyone has or knows of one. I want to take out the sunroof from mine and replace the roof skin, so let me know if you know of one kicking around anywhere that I can cut out. Thnaks Sulio, that's what I'm planning too I think. Adjustable coil overs Cheers guys, I'll keep you all posted on the progress and the finshed product of course Andrew.

Thanks again Alan, Do you happen to have a contact number for Lou? That sound perfect as i would only be looking at the occasional sprint myself with the rest occasional road driving, it's not a daily driver. Is it discs on the rear too, or just a front upgrade with the drums on the rear, because I was looking for discs all round if warranted. I was tending to go for Koni shocks but this has given me food for thought, the KYB shocks could be the option. Cheers, Andrew.

Thanks Alan and Zeddofile, Yeah, I don't mind spending the bucks to get it done properly. I'll get in contact with Paul Rankin, he's just around the corner from me (in Jersey Rd Baywater) anyway. Anyone else with ideas on mechanical specialists for the engine, brakes and suspensions would be apprciated, keep em coming! Cheers, Andy.
