Enzo Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Hi Guys, I had a vibration in my gearbox that was annoying. The gearstick would shake in 2nd under hard acceleration. Pulled the box and lucky that I hadn't pulled it apart before I found the problem to be the bronze spigot bush in the rear of the crank. The bush was disintergrating and the play was excessive. Replaced it with a new one from auto one for $10.00 and re fitted the box. Problem solved. It made me wonder how many other Zed cars are running around with a 35 year old spigot bush in place. Next time your motor is out have a look at its condition. Regards David. Quote
Toecutter Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Yer I replaced mine recently when the L28 was installed, They also sell them new from NIssan at doble the price of $19.00. Something to look out for also if your doing an auto to manual conversion as the crank will not have the spigot when you pull the auto box off. Quote
JP240z Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 First time I pulled my gearbox I realised it was missing the spiggot bush... previous owners... they all have a lot of explaining to do. Quote
