my own unfortunately :(

front end damage, bonnet, both quarter panels, head lights, spoiler, bumper are all buggered. I havent had a really good look - engine and rad are ok, but Im fairly sure its not going to be worth fixing.

Already headed to the land of the boring and mundane with an EB Falcon ser 2, but its on gas so it will save me heaps on fuel!

Im going to miss the way she went and handled compared to the Ford though.

That said, I will wait untill the weekend to asses the damage, but given the cost of front end panels, I dont think shes worth repair (not unless anyone has a front end going cheap!). I may part is out or sell as a whole not too sure yet

its a 77 2+2, L28 efi, 280zx gearbox, 3.7 diff, power steering (yes, thats right).

And for the record, I crased it into my own house, and it came off second best!

Will get some pics up at some stage...

oh shit jer, at least ur aright, you can always buy another 2+2 another day....

but that was a really good looking 2+2, espcially since you painted it etc...

Sorry to hear that. I guess you can keep looking in the classifieds I think I saw a couple of Zeds on ozdat.

Perhaps you can now have a daily driver and a project Z.

just panel damage as far as I can see. I'll remove the panels tomorrow to inspect, but it looks like the x-member is ok so I presume chassis is all fine. Not too sure about steering and suspension though.

I'd love a project Zed...but really space and money dont permit at the moment. The main probl with this one was that a it was a daily driver, doing work was always a problem as it had to be drivable Mon-Fri...

Ill take some pics tomorrow

well, if you part it, I'd be interested in the diff and possibly the L28, depending on price - I'd be using the L28 to build an L31, so it wouldn't matter if its a bit buggered.....

Get some photos up, I might be able to help you panel beat it out yourself if you want (have a bit of useful gear, and some practice :P), depends how bad it is - how'd you crash into your house?

after i read the part about the house, i was thinking about that RACV or ammi add where the car fliped going down the driveway.....

think this at least you didn;t have to pay money for towing.... haha

but all is good..

if the dash isn't cracked "i call it", and centre console etc etc...

Sounds like my crash, but I stuffed it properly and bent both frame rails and rolled it.

Moral - If you are going to do something do it properly

Sounds like you have busted the same stuff I did, therefore I will not join the vulchures

Im still thinking about fixing mine up, only been 6 months, more action and less thinking required to get it back on the road.

i think it might be beyond repair...there was a bit of cancer in the front where the bonnet hinges mount, and both those bits are screwed....i dont think its economical to repair...

dash is no go...console is ok, has a smallish crack in it near the gear lever (probably repairable) but has two holes cut in the side of 6" speakers...

engine is pretty good...head was done about 20,000km ago (perhaps less).

Also has a good 280zx 5sp which was reco'd about 30 or 40,000km ago

Diff is a 3.7 bit its a bit clunky - best for rebuild

not too sure if I'll part it out or sell complete...if I part it out i cant have it lying around too long as i need the space.

Any idea what the engine and gearbox would be worth? Judging by the one at fowles or shannons the other wek, the whole car would fetch around $1k or so?

anyway, i'll have to wrk out what to do, and of course I'll let you guys know (any offers on the whole car are welcome)

and yes i will get pics up at some stage

motor is in pretty good nick

top rad support is bent, and the rad has been pushed back a tad (about an inch maybe)

It would require a fair bit of work on the front end.

you can give me a call on 0401 315 952 if you want to check it out (im in Baywater North)
