hey mate...well itll pretty much be a project car between a mate and myself. for the initial car I guess it isn't a huge problem what condition. we just want to be able to do most of the work in a garage if possible the 180 will still be kept as its my ongoing project (for 2 yrs so far) hahaha. How much did you pick up your Z for and what kinda condt was it in? Oh yeah also...what's the diff between the 240 and 260 models? they both appearl almost identical except for the motors ? *confused noob*

Hey guys, this is my first post here after taking agessss to find a decent Z forum. My names Michael and im from vic. My mate and I have been planning a project car for a while and we've pretty much narrowed it down to a 240z or 260z that we're after. Just looking for some info and opinions from some more experienced z owners from the site. I currently own a SR20DET powered 180 but I don't exactly know a heap about the older z's...I'm just fixated by the shape and engine options Even though I don't know the exact differences between the 2 cars Basically, we're looking at spending up to about 2k for a 240 or 260 that would be in need to possibly a new motor and body repairs or either. We're looking to work on it ourselves and freshen up the interior totally and get the exterior looking mint with a home respray etc etc. Not too sure about engines as to what we could be looking for but hopefully this can get off the ground in the new few months. Any opinions and/or info or links to info would be GREATLY appreciated!! cheers, Michael-
