L28 in a 240Z

Probably a question that's been done to death but what advantages are there in fitting a L28 in my car?

Can I use the standard carbs with a re-jet, will my extractors work?

Would I need to get it engineered etc?

Roughly how much is a s/h engine?

Any help would be appreciated.

power is the big advantage, no need for engineer cert, it takes me about 2-4 hours to swap out a carbie L series engine. so there not that difficult, my only advice is do everthing whilst the motor is out, replace rear main seal, welsh pug at back of box, and clutch if its not too good

Rebuilt, oversized and balanced L28 with approx 8,000kms for $1,500.

I got an L28 shipped from Brisvegas to Melbourne for under $150 with E-Go.

Just do it. You know you want to

Even tho I can't fault the original engine in mine and she goes well, I'm now on the hunt for a 2.8 to strip, rebuild and drop in.

For $1,500....... That's a price that can't be beat.
