grimlynsan Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Hi all, My mechanic has disassembled and is currently acid bathing the L28 I recently purchased for rebuild. He is of the opinion that the head may be cactus do to possibly being overheated sometime in the last 30+ years and asked me to put the feelers out for another head. Preference for an earlier model, like E88. I have of course seen/drooled over the one currently for sale by d3c0y that is race-ported but suspect this one may be a little out of my league as I'm building a street car. Not sure how these things work but it looks pretty hard-core! Anyone got a good head lying around that they will be happy to part with? Thanks, Lee Quote
peter mc Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 jakes head is a street port not over the top will work fine Quote
Scoota G Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Yes i have a head that has some extensive porting and it runs fine on the street. I run 45mm Dellortos and a mild cam. Buy it Quote
grimlynsan Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks Guys. I had a chat with Jake about it and I am awaiting a response from the mechanic regarding how usable my one is. Anyone have an L28 flywheel for sale? Quote

Update: Mechanic says its warped but not soft. So it's usable. So I don't need to buy more stuff. Hooray! Quote
