I recently bought a miniDV camera. I've had a play with it and my next step is to make some short Z vids and hpoefully put them on the site. Anybody have any experience with Adobe premiere?

yer I use adobe premeire pro but you might want to try pinnical studio or the editing software that comes with XP as its much easier if your not familiar with editing software. but if you need any tips Im happy to offer what I can alos I think gav uses it to

Rendezvous remake! No theres an idea! Z style, hmm where would you do it in Melbourne?

I remember watching it and thinking much of what made it feel fast was the camera mouting position in that short flick and also the motor was dubbed over and in my opinion did'nt sound right because the gear changes sounded out of place with the cornering in some areas from memory. But it sure was a cool bit of 70's film.

zr240, how many "channels" can be had in pinnacle, is'nt it just one. I was thinking of doing something with black boxes like in the show 24. Would that be very complicated process?

Installed Adobe Premiere Pro 6. Made my first little datto clip. Just gotta upload it now. hmmm...might have to send it to Gav for that. Gav what happened to the existing clip you made?

i got adobe premier pro 1.5, gav, its the lastest of the latest i beleive... i do alot of home movie stuff and burn to DVD using adobe Encore DVD 1.5

 

the programs are a little trickey at the start but they get very free flowing... and easy to use after a while, but i just love how everything with adobe integrates with eachother, photoshop, premier and encore can switch to each program not loosing anything its quite nice...

 

ive taken little 1minute clips of each stage with the Z that i have done, let alone there is only 2 minutes right now, but when im done with the Z i'll make a little 10 or so minute clip about the process etc etc...

I've put together 30 sec clip with Premiere 6 but size of file is huge. Must be a way to optimise it for the net and get it down toless then a Meg!?

 

Nate I'll have to get a copy of the adobe DVD burning software next time I'm down that way.

this is what i use. to convert raw avi to divx, but i didn't buy it wink wink.... or just google other programs and there might be a few free ones out there... etc

u can just use windows movie creater and it makes it into WMV format, which is good for the net. just drop the resolution as well... to like 640x480.... and 1meg for 1minute is about the normal for video on the net...
