zzzzed Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Has any one noticed how a series 1 center center console won't fit a series 2 240z. The gear shift hole is in the wrong spot and the fuse box hole is different. and I gave my series 2 console away to. Does any one have a series 2 console the would part with? Quote
dat240z Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Have a look on Ebay mate (topstage) I think. He sells them for $180.00 I think (non painted) but brand new. Or try source a later consol in one piece. Even if they look ratty, as long as they are solid and not broken/cracked they will come up like new. I did this to mine, spray putty to fill some little scratches etc, rubbed back, then a satin matt finish. Looks top shelf if done correctly Quote
lightmaster240z Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Mick I have a Top stage Console and it is well made and fit well (240z 1973). I just have to paint it and in it go again. Give a PM he a nice Guy to deal with. Regards Bruce Quote

Six_Shooter Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Yes, there is quite the difference in fitment of the early and late 240 consoles. I recently converted a '71 240 to use a later console. I used the mounting tabs from a '73 to do so. Home made tabs and such could be used though. Quote
