walterf Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I am new to this site and have had growing desire to buy a 240z. How realistic is it to buy one that you can reliably use as a weekend drive? And how much would I pay for a vehicle that is ready to drive but not showroom condition? Can anyone help with some thoughts and if I can stretch the friendship by asking if you can supply photo's of what sort of car I can buy to fit the bill? Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 15k will get you a nice weekender that isn't concourse. Quote

Patch Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 If that is too much money, the market has crashed now and lots of projects have come on the market, you would normally pay 3k for a rusty shell but here is a whole car now going for 3.5-4k now. last year this would have gone for 7k plus. http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m46/d3c0yz3d/Red%20Rocket/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ20 More info on this car. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,11074.0.html Quote
d3c0y Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 The red one is a car i just sold and there is no way that it would have ever sold for $7k. I did expect to get $4k - $4.5k for it but i needed to pay a PMC bill for my engine so let it go for less and to get space back in the garage. Quote
