Azon Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Does anyoen know a required volume and pressure rating? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 10, 2007 Administrators Posted April 10, 2007 A Carby L28 should be between 3-4 PSI I think the old Nissan Bluebird or Pintara uses an electronic fuel pump which is suitable. Most 240z's have the wiring in place to run an electric pump. Quote

nat0_240_chevZ Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 3-8psi @ approx 4l/min from memory. put the pump @ the back with pipe coming out of tank straight into the pump then back into the line. make sure wiring is isolated/fused as these chew some amps, also for safety. also make sure its wired only when ign key is ON not acc as it will piss u off. dont use anything over 8psi on su's id even recommend no more than 6psi for the su's as they cant hold fuel back very well. nato Quote
Azon Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 Thanks guys - and other cars I can use the pump from? And what year should the above cars be? Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 better to use a universal type like a facet, better new also and allows you to use any size fittings on the in and out, and costs about 70$ new from memory + fitting i think were 4$ ea. dont bother with used pumps as the last thing you want is to be stuck somewhere with no fuel pressure. I also recomend running the line through the stock mech pump, as u use the elec pump to prime the mech and also acts as a failsafe if the electronic pump shits itself, still have a mech pump able to suck through the facet style universal pumps as they are 1-way ie can suck through them, like a check valve!!!! works well for carby, as you have pressure before you turn the key!. nato Quote
zedrally Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 RX 7 Fuel pumps where commonly used on zeds. Probably very hard to find now, but you could try Allmaz in Clayton. Quote
