RB30X Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 In an attempt to flush out anything Datsun (or old Jap) in Gladstone, I placed an add in the local paper. The hits are coming in so I thought I'd start a thread with the results in case there is someone out there chasing something. An 86' supra with a 7M-GE or an 86 front cut with a 7M-GTE. A couple of 200B's. These come with worked L20B motors, ported heads tricked up with better springs and valves etc. I asked if they had side draft carbs but he got rid of them to use a downdraft 350 holley or something. Anyway these cars were racing ones so if the cars or parts appeal to anyone let me know and I can take a look. A running and registered 280zx. A couple of 82' RX7's. One is an ex racing car that has had a hit on the front. It runs Wolf fuel injection and no doubt has a mean race ported 13b. And this is my favourite: A 65' Datsun 1300 (U520) dual cab. Only a few imported into the country. Sure would make a rare build up. In running condition but it looks like it needs some work. Originally I thought it might have been a 1600 (510) ute and I was licking my lips. Here is a pic I found of one at a Hellaflush convention. Who votes I put the race L20B into the dual cab Quote

Just don't eat the fish I'm going to be back next weekend, if I get a chance I would love to check out your ride. There are a few "project" z's in yards around town, the kind that seem like they will never see the light of day. Perhaps with the right amount of cash they could be tempted to part with them. One guy has a pair of 260z 2 seaters. 1 has barely any rust and the other would be a really solid base for a project. If only I had some excess money. Was it Keith who helped you out with the rails? The cars up on stands at the moment to have the rails done but if your in town when it's back on the road I'll take you for a spin. Quote
