how many use your car

I know im new to this site but just want to know how many of you that are in south east melbourne go out regulary and use your cars just looking at events past and future..... have to say not much going on if thats it!

I must admit im still building mine, but i would like to get out and spend time with people with the same passion...... im not trying to be a dick just want to get a feel for you guys let me know.

Welcome bud! Dat Nats in a couple of weeks and a meet soon after on the 18th of April 07 at the Jag Club. In regards to more frequent events unfortunately the numbers just are'nt there. Based on previous events there is always at least half of the Z folk that have'nt got their cars on the road when a meet comes up which is fine for meetings but a bummer for cruises. With this in mind we have put together only 4 set days this year for our meetings as it is easy to work with and gives everybody ample time to make it.

In regards to organising cruises anybody is welcome to use the events upcoming section of the forum for cruises and I'm trying to get my car ready for more action this year.

It's sad to say that the people that often make alot of noise about organising events such as cruises then fail to show up. Hopefully that track record can be bettered this year!

The only downside i see with the meets, are that we have them at night, so we dont get to check out any other cars than the one thats inside the jag rooms.

well i guess your right there aint many left out there .

and i see what your saying about most people doing their cars still , i mean i cant talk but it would be good to meet for day runs through mt dandy or arthurs seat on a regular basis, but i guess the numbers are low and other things in peoples lives put a stop to most free time

 

but hey im going to build it im going to use it .... alot :twisted:

hope there are going to be some other serious drivers when that day comes for her virgin trip :wink:

hmmm i stayed around and checked out a few, and also before i went inside, but yeah, mayb more lingering outside would be good before hand? but there's only so much lingering you can do before it gets boring...

 

i was thinking mayhem must of been refering to general classic car meets and not seeing many zeds there? i personally havent' been to any as havn't had the time due to working weekends previously, although my car does get plenty of use as its my only one

Yer the majority are busy on weekends and that is why we decided on mid week meetings, there are'nt many people that are pressed to attend on a Wednesday night. As for cruises it's just a matter of posting a time, date and location on the forums and see what sort of reply you get. I'm about to take my car in for the guards to get cut and welded so can't make it to any cruises til after the Nationals.

Gidday mayhem, Just saw your post. My son and I have 3 zed's, 1 on the road 2 on the go. I am real intersted in getting more happening on this side of town as 2 mates have also now bought Zed's. I'm in Berwick so not far from you, let me know if you want to get together for a chat or a cruise sometime.
