Where in Australia can I get the weatherstrips for a 260z 2+2? I tried order from US but the shipping fee was ridiculously high, its not even funny.

I would use Motorsport Auto in the USA. Their parts are fantastic, and I am a super fussy buyer. The postage for the whole lot was about US$35 from memory and based on how cheap they were compared to any local supplier, and their quality (they are 'precision' brand) you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for Factory rubbers, these are also available ex US, and again their prices are cheaper than aftermarket kits in Australia. I bought a complete factory Nissan kit of rubbers for a 240Z (ex the door seals which are precision, and a better design than the two piece factory parts) and the whole thing landed was right on A$600. Not bad for new factory parts that you know will fit, AND work!

wow, you must have got a good deal on shipping...

I recently got a quote from MSA (about a month old) for almost $200 in shipping charges for their complete weather seal kit.

I ended up getting the front windscreen and some specific door seals from them, but i managed to get the rear windscreen and quarter window seals off RB30X for a nice price.

He said in his add they were from Black Dragon auto, perhaps send him a PM to ask him what the shipping was? Bearing in mind it has probably gone up since he ordered his bits.

FWIW, i am planning on doing another order with MSA for some door handles and the outer hatch seal when they are in stock, if you want to combine postage, i wouldn't have any issues with it.

I cannot recommend Motorsport Auto too highly given their efficient service and quality of product. The only negative I have is the freight costs charged. My last order was one that I needed urgently - 2 seater interior vinyl kit - and it arrived within four days of the payment being made to confirm the order.

I have purchased a weatherstrip kit for a two seater from them but unfortunately they were unable to supply a 2+2 kit as they are currently unhappy with the quality of the door seal rubbers from their suppliers.

However, I am always willing to give Australian suppliers a try if they can supply at a comparable quality and price. Anyone?

Regards

Dave

My order from Zcarsource was a total of $220 USD, consists of a rear window tailgate seal, quarter windows set, door seals set plus a few small bit and pieces and the shipping price was $315 USD  :o :o

I tried MSA too, the shipping fee is definitely better around $100 USD but they dont carry the rear window seal anymore (until another 4 months) as the quality isnt up to standard just like Dave said. Thing is, the rear window seal is the primary item of the order since I pretty much killed mine when removing the glass from the tailgate  :-[ :-[

I also tried reddat on eBay US, he carries the rear window seal but his price and shipping price is even worse.

With Blackdragon how can I tell them the parts are for the 2+2?

Nizm0zed I would love to, when are you thinking of ordering your bits?
