53-681 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Hi guyz, I have remounted my old dash after changing all the lights behind all the gauges. Problem is, when i've mounted everything I found myself staring at a cable that doesnt have a socket to plug into :S The speedo gauge, has one speedo cable going into it AND there is a power cable coming out of it; Does anyone where this cable plugs into??? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
peter mc Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 mmmm i dont no but i will give you $200 to take it of your hands ,,,,lol Quote
53-681 Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Dang Peter, you can have it for free But I don't wanna get rid of it I want my car to see the light of road! Quote
T.A.P Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 You mean the male plug with a bunch of wires? If it is then there should be a female plug for it from the instrument/dash harness. The only other cable (top of my head) coming out of it is the trip reset meter cable which goes to the trip reset meter knob. Quote
53-681 Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 What is the instrument/dash harness??? Its like a male plug with 6 or so pins inside (sort of like a large 2 lane molex connector) Quote
T.A.P Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 This is the harness what has multiple plugs for your gauges, it's secured to the dash by snap in plastic pieces. There should be a plug for your speedo. Quote
53-681 Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 Ahhh shizz I was thinking about exactly that whilst driving today... I knew I missed it! I know the ones; The clock, temp and fuel gauges have the exact same plug right? Dang I'm gonna have lots of fun this weekend Quote
