Looking for a 260 2+2

Hi guys,

 

Now that I'm able to look seriously for a new car, I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has a 260 2+2 they are thinking of selling but haven't advertised. There are couple advertised on carsales that I might investigate further if I get no joy from this thread, but I thought I'd try this first.

 

I'm looking for a 260 2+2 manual that has to be a registerable, drivable car. I'm not looking for a project.

 

I know they seem to be advertised/sell for between 5k for rough but registerable runners and 15k for something very tidy with quite a few modifications. I'm thinking of something close to the middle of this bracket, both in terms of dollars and car. Obviously the exact car will determine the exact dollars.

 

I'd consider either a car that's modified or one that is close to factory original, as both have appeal. I'm not looking to try and win any concourse events or race the car, it has to be usable on the road. Lack of rust is a pretty major consideration.

 

I'm in Adelaide, but well aware that travelling intersate is something that may be necessary to get the right Z.

Time for an update - Z+2 purchased and safely home in the garage ;D

 

Awesome car in light blue with cream interior, matching numbers original engine with 240 round top carbs.

 

Many thanks to everyone who PM'd with offers, but I could only purchase one car.

 

Flew to Melbourne, Kato Kid was kind enough to pick me up from the airport, the +2 was as described on the forum, phone and e-mail, so the deal was done and the Z made the drive back to Adelaide without missing a beat. Time to drive it and enjoy it, and make a few subtle personalisations along the way.

 

Good to know that the funds are going to help with Kato Kids project M3 powered 240, and +karma for him being a top bloke to deal with.

Good to hear she ran well, was a good bus for me. You probably clocked more k's in the trip home than I did in the whole of last year!
