Just thought I would post some pics of my sound system, in case it gives anyone in the club ideas or inspirartion for their own car. All work was done without butchering my original 240z, except for some small work sone on the door trims.

yeah, it does start to hurt your head if you pump it for long enough.

looks pretty setup. i think ill just go for a headunit to alpine amp to 6" splits and some others for the back. im considering making little boxes which will fit nicely into the corners in the back and something possibly similar in the front so i dont have to hack up any of the interior. once i get my wiring kit and another set of speakers im ready. might get some 6x9s to add a little bass.

yeah, 6x9's are great if you arnt running subs.

Ive also seen some nice boxes made to fit into the rear corners of zeds.

Decided to go for a custom box to mount both amps, crossovers and rear 6's in mine. leaves very little room for the soccer kit but wot can you do?

Just a tip tho, if you're looking at front splits, I highly recomend the JVC ones ive got. Ive also got a few mates with them as well, and they really do pump clearly at high vol.

well i've already got some bottom of the range JL audio splits i bought a couple of years ago which ill use. not fantastic bass considering they're 6"ers but the highs are quite exceptional which is what i want the most. and ill pick some 6x9's up off eBay. possibly some alpines, maybe some hertz if im feeling rich.

yes, it can get expensive, trust me lol.
