I am checking in now and again but like many others before me have let the zed fall by the wayside after getting a new job. . Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Steve, Just keep in mind the L24/L26 alternator was externally regulated. The L28 item was internally regulated. So when you change to the internally regulated you will need to alter the wiring. Its not a big deal but keep in mind you can't just swap them and expect to drive away. Quote

sexual_sushi Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 You can get them from motorsport auto I think, but with postage etc perhaps we just get the parts from jaycar/dick smith? It is just a plug that fits in where you would normally attach the voltage regulator. Inside the plug you put a little diode and connect the pins to make the loop/connection. Then fill the plug with resin to stop it vibrating and finish it off. Plug might be a couple of dollars, diode might be a few cents and I have the resin.
