Notice the super fast hill toe thongs on the ground :wink: Pleasantly suprised to find no rust or very little. After: Panel now grey and slightly newer looking. Taking off the front grill tmrw and cleaning that up.........also fixing sunroof so it does rattle so much when open. And will be sealing up all the holes letting in heat from the fire wall. Although ive never had driving shoes, just chunky globes really. That used to be illegal in Vic didn't it? barefeet that is... but apparantly they changed the rules so its now illegal to drive in thongs instead. Quote
zedevan Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 yeah that looks much nicer, only a few zeds can pull off having that rear light panel the same colour as the car. i've been thinking about painting the standard chrome light surrounds black like what your car has had done to it. isn't there another piece that sits between the two rear lights that should also be painted? the dark rear panel suits your recently repainted rims too, or did you get them powdercoated? Toecutter Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 William that looks alot better. Having the light trims black instead of silver gives it a nice look also. I noticed the bars are a little banged up. I was just thinking if your not concerned about keeping them looking chrome, (rechromed ones about $300 per bar), you could get the fibre glass bars in black just to neaten things up bit. I think they would be a lot cheaper than $300, I'm stewing over the same thing atm!? Quote

Just used high temp black gloss engine enamel on it.......i've used this paint before and it's heaps durable. Cleaning the wheel before hand obviously. Quote

Not a fan of those nismo stickers, they look like a kid in kinda cut them out. Get some DATSUN badges, look heaps better. Quote

dave_hl Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 yeah i had ones of those nismo stickers on the verticle edge of the rear hatch when i got my car... bit tacky looking really. i took it off a few months ago... along with my rear spoiler i didn't really like. dont think ive posted any pics of how it now looks but i will on tuesday when its REGO'd!!!, but i dont wanna talk about it or ill get gynxed and i'll fail the roadworthy for some other crap reason.
