fufu Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi guys, I'm after a radiator for a 240Z. Something that will do the job temporarily, just to get me by registrations. I'm unsure if the 260Z radiators are similar dimensions and mounting points regards, Fu Quote
PZG302 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 You should be able to get the radiator repaired and as good as a new one for a comparable cost. Places like red devil should be able to sort you out pretty quickly. Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 260Z rad's will fit, but they are a bit taller, so the bottom sticks out past the lower front chassis cross member. This is why the 260Z front cross member is deeper, to protect the bottom of the radiator. If you have a front spoiler its not much of an issue, as it covers it. Quote
Sirpent Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Fu I have one, it will hold water for a RW and you just need to give it a coat of paint to make it look half decent. Otherwise D&D radiators in Duke St North Sunshine will be your closest bet for a re-core. By the way, hows that clutch fan working for you? Cheers John Quote
fufu Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 Work perfect. I'll need to replace the radiator to do further testing. But it seems to me that the radiator is the core problem which ended up causing the fan warp incident. I'm going to disassemble the radiator from the car tomorrow, in preparation for Monday. I'll swing by D&D and see if they can patch it up. I do have plans for a new radiator down the track. So, for now, I'm after a quick fix in this case.
