. Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 So I went into the shed yesterday to grab my primer etc to paint some parts. When I picked up the tin of primer I realised it is now a hexagon!!!! How weird. The top and botton are still round but the sides are hexagonal. I don't mean just rough indents. I am talking almost perfectly hexagonal. You couldn't make a better hexagon if you tried. It was totally cylindrical last time I used it. Obviously this is due to changes in temperature and thus the resulting pressure. How come none of my other tins experienced this result? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this feature? Quote
Enzo Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 "OH MY GOSH"!!!!!! Roswell.........Crop circles.........Hexagonal paint tins!!!!!!!! The truth is out there. Lol. Quote
luvemfast Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I get the same thing, with thinners containers too! Didn't realise this was a conspiracy against the circles of the world Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 21, 2011 Moderators Posted February 21, 2011 Might be a good thing as you can fit more cans on the shelf if they are all hex shaped..look at a beehive honeycomb.. Quote
nizm0zed Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 you should probably patent that Dimitri, before he steals your idea and makes a motza. It'd be a lot easier to pour paint out of too, no messy edge over half the tin, just one small corner... back on topic, i have noticed a few tins do that in my shed, never a hexagon though, or any symmetrical pattern for that matter. I guess it depends on whether there is a weaker point in the wall of the tin, thats where it shoud buckle first. Quote
bryan3976 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 could we get a pic ? im curious to see wat it looks like Quote
madz Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Oh my goodness! I can see an image of the Virgin Mary! That paint tin is worth a fortune! Quote
zipZom Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Outside of the matrix, all paint cans are hexagons! I think this my be digitally rendered but it looks very real. Its one of my favorite pictures. It would make an awesome and eye catching graphic for a car. Has anyone ever used a company to make custom graphics ? I have heard of a few, like B2B Media, but have no personal experience. What do you think ? Quote
