zeds4ever Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Hey Stivva, make sure you get the matching engine block securing base with the dizzy mate. Your earlier model will give you a difrnt timing set up. Been there #@!!. Nightmarish. HaHa. Regards: Alan. Quote
dazzed Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Ihave a fully reco unit, has a top advance curve which is perfectly progressive and total with no variation . it is a bolt in unit, comes with right ignition coil to suit , and i warranty the distributor for life, thats right ,, $550 , if you think thats expensive you will eventually find out the hard way, please no postage , or i can fit it for you if you are in melbourne , otherwise dont reply . these are special units that have been built accordingly for zeds, there is quite a few people on this site that has my dissy in their car just ask them how they perform, but then again they probably dont even know who i am Quote

Or should the few on offer here be fine? Quote

Very true....that's why at wreckers, when I see a elec distributor removed and the base left, I remove and keep the base! Have a small collection of them at home Quote
zeds4ever Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Stivva mate if you have the L28 block & you have been running a dizzy with points you will defntly need the 280 base, as the base you have will be difrnt from what you need. When you finally get what you are after & find you are having problems contact me & I will come over & help you sort it out . Regards : Alan. Quote
